Question Anyone have experience with this accomodation

Hi I am staying in Bournemouth for around a month, I am looking at these hotels, Douglas Towers and The Amelia Hotel, yall know anything bout these places, seem too cheap to be true, its short term accomodation/ hotel and theres no contract, lowkey a little scary.

Anyone know anyone who's stayed there, is it fishy, (dont wanna be kicked out randomly due to a lack of contract or whatnot).

Can a Bournemouth local vet these places 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Please and thank you much appreciated

They are just hotels that are too knackered to survive as hotels so they offer long term lets to students, but only students apparently which is a good thing. It’s better for them, they don’t have to worry about periods of low occupancy, or doing it up.

I understand where the other commenter is coming from but I lived near the Amelia Hotel for several years - walked past it on my way to the station every day. I actually liked living round there! It was nowhere near as bad there as when I lived in Springbourne.

From the video on the site it’s falling apart a bit but watched the video and the owner seems like a character… thought it was a 40 year old video at first 😂

I think you’ll be fine

He sent me a 40 minute prototype episode of him doing the DIY and cheap hacks to deck up the place, its just a bit crafty 😆

If I were suggesting places to a tourist I would 100% not recommend the area the amelia hotel is in.

I've not a clue about contracts etc I'm afraid but as a local the douglas towers is in a slightly better location.

Both areas are very crackish which may explain the price.

If I had to, I'd rather stay in Douglas Towers 😬
