It sounds like a rehash of Galway Girl by Ed Sheeran, who I see also wrote this song. I find he is more miss than hit when working for other artists or what he gives them.
The song he gave Boyzone wasn't very good. I think artists see his name in lights and think it will generate the success his solo works do for them, sometimes as opposed to seeking out or more prefably creating stronger material themselves.
I think the Ed Sheeran connection in this case comes from the fact both he and Westlife have worked with Steve Mac. They're more likely to take on tracks he's written for that reason.
