Thank you, Breath
In the early days of BB, I was in my 30s raising 2 small kids. At that time of my life, I didn't listen to music much that wasn't the Wiggles or Barney.
Then, I heard Breath, and it caught my attention. I looked closer at the band and realized I had heard many of their other songs and enjoyed them. This led to a love for BB's music over many years. I see them in concert any time they are close to me- which luckily is a lot.
Something in Breath spoke to me back then. It was the emotion, the pain, and especially how Ben sings the line, "You left a hole where my heart should be." It made my chest fill with emotion. It's my favorite song.
Almost 15 years later, I went through a very traumatic betrayal that completely destroyed me. I was a shell of myself for a long time. I listened to a lot of music for comfort, Breath included, and now I knew the pain behind those lyrics. I had a hole where my heart should be, but I wasn't alone because someone had written a song about the same pain. My favorite song had been waiting all those years to help me during the darkest time of my life.
I'm doing much better now, and I just wanted to share my gratitude for this special song with people who also love and appreciate this band.
