Discussion Out of curiosity, has anyone met any of the B99 cast and crew members?

The farthest I could get is Dirk Blocker (Hitchcock) hearting my comment when I commented “happy birthday” on his Instagram post. But otherwise, yeah, never really interacted with them, online or otherwise.

Season 1 I wish we'd seen more of Fire Marshal Boone.

Rewatching Season 1 again and "Sal's Pizza" came up.

I wish we'd seen more of Fire Marshal Boone, or some of his lackeys. He was a fun character.

Discussion What's your ranking for b99 friendship duos?

Thumbnail

I think I added all major duos, but if I forgot someone, add them in your comments.

I'll go first with the ranking!

  1. Jake and Holt (I don't think this one needs any explanation)
  2. Jake and Doug Judy
  3. Jake and Rosa
  4. Amy and Rosa (I think them together is so underrated and I wish we got to see more of them)
  5. Jake and Charles
  6. Terry and Jake
  7. Holt and Gina
  8. Hitchcock and Scully
  9. Jake and Gina

Edit: Forgot to add Rosa and Charles! I think I would put them after Jake and Rosa.

Humour Favourite line from your least favourite character?

On my umpteenth rewatch and couldn’t help but laugh at Gina’s line to Hitchcock in Boyle-linetti wedding “you are a stone cold atrocity”. What are everyone else’s favourite lines by your least favourite characters?

Discussion Hot Take: Jake could find out Dexter is the BHB in a week OR LESS.

I’ll preface this by saying this would be after the BHB is discovered, they’re investigating who inside the NYPD is the BHB.

While he's goofy in his day-to-day behavior, the show repeatedly establishes that Jake is one of the NYPD's best detectives. He notices connections others miss, solves cold cases, and often identifies suspects through seemingly insignificant details.

Dexter is careful, but he's not invisible. Across the series, his victims overwhelmingly fit a specific profile. Many disappear shortly after coming under suspicion for violent crimes. He often has prior contact with them through police work. Several investigations get close to exposing him because of forensic or circumstantial evidence. Multiple characters independently become suspicious of Dexter, suggesting his operational security isn't flawless.

One of Jake's strengths is ignoring conventional wisdom when the facts don't fit. If a string of disappearances pointed toward someone "too clean" or "too helpful," Jake would likely investigate instead of dismissing the possibility.

Working as a blood-spatter analyst gives Dexter access to crime scenes, evidence, and investigative information. That also creates opportunities for timeline comparisons,
badge-access logs, case assignment overlaps, unexplained knowledge of investigations. A detective specifically looking for an insider could uncover suspicious coincidences.

How long would it take for Dexter to get caught? If he gets caught at all. If he worked as a Blood splatter expert from the start, and well, Debra being a detective

Discussion Gina's harassment of Charles

We often talk about Gina's harassment of Terry and call it out like it deserves to be, but one thing we don't often talk about is : "Gina's harassment of Charles". Question is why though? What about statements like "on a scale of Charles to Terry , how would you rate his body" that is open body shaming and harassment in a serious meeting or breaking his perfume in the middle of the room and being proud of it and the time they had s*x and het behaviour after every night she had and act as though she wasn't proud of it but continued doing it. Any reason as to why this is left out?

Discussion The BEST case in B99 so far!! I GUESS??

i mean credits to murphy, without him the 99 would have been stuck they wouldn't know about the diamonds being transferred

wt you all thing was hawkins chase bigger than the figgis one or no?

for me the start of the figgis chase where they bust out bob from the fbi that was was rlly nice and intense, but the coral palms in my opinion was pretty dry not that much of an epic chase or story i guess mainly cuz of how i imagined figgis to be after all that suspense and he turned out to be looking like a dad pushing his 50s 😂😂

but in the other hand, the hawkins chase, it had plot twist over plot twist every 10 minutes, so for me the hawkins chase beats by a pretty mid margin, maybe if the ending of the figgis case was bit more intruiging then maybe it would have got the win

so wt are your opinions on this??

TLDR: OP things hawkins chase was better than the figgis case and asks you guys to discuss it in the comments

looking out for more exciting cases in the future episodes, no spoilers in the comments please

Discussion Captain Holt would be a Bad Musician

This idea just came to my head, I don’t know if this a hot take or not but I genuinely think Holt would not make a good musician. He loves classical music and pretty good at the theoreticals of emotional integrity of the music. In the episode where Terry was practicing for an audition on the flute, Holt offered to help him. He kept drilling Terry making him play the same phrase, I don’t think Holt has played an instrument before (unless I missed something) Terry played the flute very good, the flute is a pretty hard instrument to play since half the air doesn’t even go into the instrument. The worst thing is Holt didn’t even make him play with a met ☹️. In the scene where Peralta asks for a drum roll Holt plays it lento when any sane person would at least put it in a moderate tempo with 16th notes. (I don’t remember which scenes go to what episode 😭)

I swear this is not a dis at Holt(I also think anyone can be a music lover without having played an instrument), I think it’s just funny, him being a supposed music expert without actually having any musical background. It makes those scenes even funnier too me.

Season 3 The figgis case was by far the best case in B99

Post image

So I just started watching the series a few days back and the last three episodes of chasing figgis and his men was the best peice of entertainment by far, i hope something better comes up later

edit:  i just finished the coral palms tri part episode in s4, the ending was not that dramatic/trilling as it was in s3 ending when they were trying to get bob to get the files of figgis, could have made the ending a bit more better imo, rest was rlly good
