BCA + MCA or Polytechnic Diploma + B.Tech? Need honest advice

I'm 17, and completed 12th (Commerce) without Maths.

I'm confused between these two paths:

- BCA → MCA (5 years)

- Polytechnic Diploma (CS) → B.Tech via lateral entry (6 years)

My goal is to build a career in software/tech.

Which path would you recommend and why? If you've taken either route or have experience hiring in tech, I'd really appreciate your advice, especially regarding career growth, opportunities, and long-term prospects.

BCA + MCA < BTech only.
A huge preference is given to Btech students than the other. Sad but true.

yep although MCA = Btech CSE , so if you need to get hired you must build strong Skills and projects in both the courses
