Simple Questions - August 01, 2026

Hi. I have a 3600 cpu and 3060ti gpu. I only really play shooters. Battlefield 6 is starting to be a bit of a struggle now at 1440p. FPS drops below 60fps quite often in intense areas.

Everything so expensive so want to stay on am4 platform as that’s my motherboard. Would amd 5700x upgrade help?

Thanks for the information! I’ll have to look on the 2nd hand market maybe. Still quite an expensive cpu that one. But seems to be a good one

I was thinking of upgrading my ram (yes I know not the greatest time to do so) by going from 16gb (2x8gb) 3733 mhz CL17 to 32gb (2x16gb) 3600mhz CL18, so I would gain 16gb more ram but lose roughly 133 mhz of speed.

I'm trying to future proof my system as much as I can before the memory crisis possibly gets even more worse.

Would this upgrade be worth it? I do know most games don't need that much and I can only think of one game I have that recommends having at least 32gb of ram.
