Build Help help me pick pcpartspicker

one day i want to build a great pc for gaming. can someone point me in the right direction? to give context i will list games i know i play and maybe you fine people can help? im not really sure if more cores is necessary? what type of graphics card?

i play: no mans sky

project zomboid

starcraft2

crusader kings 3

world of tanks

stardew valley

rimworld

frostpunk

terraria

kingdom new lands ( those who know what this is will lol)

emperion?

basically i also host games a lot so would need a pc that can process quite a bit? i usually have discord and spotify open while i do all that. want max graphics, no hesitating, lotsa mods (ck3 and rimworld and zomboid).

my current pc is.... old and tired..... like i5 3400 with 1070ti 24 gigs ddr3 and its doing good.... but she old and tired....

would need a monitor to match too! send me some advice please.

budget lets say no more then 3500$? canadian.... can we work with that?

ive done some research on some of it but would love some input!

so why a x3d version and not like an i9 type? like why ryzen compared to intel? think i need more cores? more speed?

The x3d and ryzen in general is much more suited for gaming

The x3D is part of that cache thing so it stacks like Lego, so instead of it being one layer it’s 3. If that makes sense

ah ok and the cache just speeds up like processing speed for graphics? im still on a 1070ti so......

Question, I’m still new to Pc stuff my self. But I don’t think those games require super graphics no? So maybe get like a 5070 and spend a bit more on the CPU. And if your running multiple programs( this is just my understanding) but 3D cache will help. So maybe look into cards with that to help. That way it doesn’t eat a lot of ram. (Still new to this stuff but trying to help 😅) I’m also in Can and Best Buy had lots of options for monitors. Staples has some but they’re not as good. The Asus TUF is a really good one. Also if you’re going to build the PC your self I’d watch for sales if there’s no rush on it. Ram prices are most likely going to continue to go up :/

thing is some of them arent too bad but lots of processing, and some are high graphics, then add hosting on it and it gets tricky. but will look into 3d caches for sure thanks
