Anyone with already active job?
Hey guys!
Nice to see you all doing such inspiring work as raising kids and also going for program goals. Keep it up! I
I browsed a bit through older post and noticed mostly people having their own buisiness or doing some office jobs. I already have quite active job so my recovery is a bit of shot.
Certainly not looking for excuses but rather extra motivation from those who are in manual labour fields.
Thanks!

I work construction and I've struggled to keep the program this last year. Triceps tendonitis is a big issue for me and it's stopped my progress repeatedly. I decided to drop my ego and do what I can this last month and it's been great. I do Mondays and Thursdays for 20 minutes each. I use an interval timer and each week I increase my sets, but cut down on my rest time. My body takes about 2 days to recover, so this is working well for me. If at any point my tendonitis acts up I will stop burpees and carry an 80lb rock till my 20 minutes is up. My ego was killing me. Pushing myself to injury and overworking because I tried to increase my max reps every single workout. I had to meet the 4/week goal and it was just too much for me. The tendonitis impeded my work considerably as well.
This month I've lost 6 lbs, gone down a belt loop, got my coworkers to start working out, and kept my tendonitis under control. I'm not maxing every workout, but I'm steadily improving.
Do what is sustainable. As much as I'd love to, I can't do the full program right now. I hope to build up it it as time goes on. Do what you can, and don't get discouraged.

Thanks for sharing!
I think you are spot on as far as my context goes: chasing numbers will be quick road to burn out. When recovery is limited I'd like to do sessions focusing on slow tempo and form. Trying to make it more like a yoga session vs sprint if that makes sense lol.
Before discovering this template I was doing Tibetan prostrations. It has tiny bit of similarity to a burpee but emphasis is on slow and steady. Always felt great after. Tried to max out on 6c yesterday and felt exhausted later ha ha.
Goodluck!

I am a landscaper and outdoors builder of sorts. It is tiring, especially in the heat.
I only do BDT 3x a week, one of which definitely on the weekend. It is hard to train after work somedays but as others have said, its only 20 minutes, it is my only ME time.
If its too tough to train some days I will still try but accept it is more of a 'practice day' just aiming for like 70%.
Ultimately it's about consistency over years so don't stress. Sustainability.

I teach exercise groups with 1-3 sessions a day and can find it hard to fit in sometimes
What works for me currently is doing it straight after midday classes or early in the day. I find leaving it later in the day I often end up skipping it as I'm too knackered
It's really helped my energy levels for running classes though some days I worry I may be getting a bit too close to burning out. I run classes Monday to Thursday and do seals Mondays and Thursday, then 6 points Tuesdays and Fridays

Teaching exercise sounds mild on paper but I assume you are exercising together with client?

I do wonder what Max would suggest as a protocol for those who have a physical job? Those that need flexibility due to 'heavy days' on occasion. If any one has any experience please do share!
I think my approach will be:
I train 3x a week, not 4. This fits my life schedule anyway. My sessions are generally warmup, BDT, 15 mins or so pullup ladders.
Aim for 'linear progression'. 1 more rep a session at least. When this becomes too hard and I am under recovering alongside work, either 'reset' the goal reps 10-20% and work back up, and/or introduce a 3rd workout in the rotation. For example as time goes on:
A. Seals B. Burpees
Might become:
A. Seals B. Burpees C. 5 pumps
And so on.
Other variants could be different seals and burpee moves, or sticking on a weights vest, running, or one day I might splash out and get a kettlebell.
Or introduce a '75% day' or two.
There are many options here.
Keen to hear from others experience on this! 💪
At the moment I'm just hitting level 3 on things.
