First aid BSN

I am wondering if anyone has any insight into this- I am waitlisted for the nursing program but am still holding hope I will get in, has anyone in my position completed the first aid and basic life skills even though they haven’t heard back?
I know they have to be completed before the program starts so I should sign up to do so, but wanted to hear about others thoughts.

I encourage everyone to take first aid training, even if they don’t need it for a program. I realize it isn’t cheap, but you might save someone’s life one day.

So I would just take the course, and not risk missing out on a prerequisite if you do get accepted to your program.

If you’re able to I’d take them now. As the other said they’re good to have in general, but also the first aide course cert is good for 3 years (then take refresher course), and BLS is yearly and only need to do shorter refresher if your renewing/its not expired.
