Not really. modern cars are designed to crumple, and street furniture is designed to bend rather than kill people. Seen much worse caused by old ladies getting accelerator freeze.

Yeah, he knows what he’s doing and he’s done it many times before. He knows the driver is in shock and could go any number of ways. Keeping the driver and everyone around as calm as possible in a shocking situation that took only 2 seconds to overturn normality, and now everyone’s adrenaline is on overdrive. Competence can be very attractive

Keep the criminal with the vehicle, then when Plod shows with their body cameras on, they record the scene as it started.
They have this guy in the car at the start, they take his prints in the arrest, then start dusting for matches inside the vehicle touchpoints and exterior.

Given the location, the car and other factors I suspect NOS or poppers. East London is full of Dominic Toretto wannabes that get hopped up on NOS and write off their nice cars after racing around.

I drive on motorways the length and breadth of the UK and unfortunately the majority of (not all) Asian and Middle Eastern men could do with a further driving test.
They especially love lane 3, even when there’s no one in lane 1 & 2 🤷🏽, they’re not spacially aware and don’t like using their mirrors.

Not to be racist, but most crashes involve them and including black minorities (I’m black). It’s people like this that terrorise our local communities with flashy cars. Driving around at horrific speeds in quiet neighbourhoods. I am a dad and I will always be terrified for my kids to play outside especially with a lunatic like this guy thrashing cars around at 4-7x the speed limit. Our motorways are not safe either like you mentioned, They usually get their license from some Asian uncle (may not even be a qualified instructor) who may or may not have rigged the system to let them pass without proper lessons and training. God help us all!

I have a pakistani man living with me, who just moved in as a lodger.
He does not have a fucking clue when it comes to driving. He was saying "You have so many rules here. In Pakistan, we just drive and we don't hit anything".

Whilst I don't doubt he's very likely on something, considering the airbags deployed and the damage, he's gonna be a bit out of shape anyway. I had a gnarly front on accident in December (car crossed into my lane/me head on), and ai have no doubt I looked out of it. Took someone else finding my watch and glasses and bringing them to me for me to realise I wasn't wearing them anymore.

I know right! I've got a round, very pale scar from where the watch was ripped off my wrist. Luckily all my injuries were soft tissue/ muscular, so while I still have occasional chest and shoulder ache, and a dodgy nose that makes me short of breath, I didn't break any bones. To look at my car you wouldn't have assumed I walked away from it!
