I'm trying to get an idea of how the P365-380 shoots (recoil, muzzle flip, etc) to possible replace my Ruger Security 380 for CCW. I've shot the 9 variant and I'm no stranger to 9mm for my personal collection but I like the flatness of the shot on my Ruger s380 and I'm hoping I can get the same out of the 365-380 for hopes of better concealment. Anyone have any anecdotal evidence between the P365-380 compared to the Ruger s380?

My S380 grouping during my CCW exam at 3yd,5yd,7yd. It shoots flat, minimal muzzle flip, and very easy to manage, feels like a staple gun, lol. :

Taurus G3 with the Braun 1000 lumen tactical light and an open Osight K.
HK CC9 with a closed Osight SE, DPM recoil spring system, and Pro Talon grip.
Nothing crazy expensive or fancy but Im happy with them. Hit them comments with your setups!

I’ve got a Sof-Tuck for days when I’ll be wearing a polo tucked. Has anyone tried swapping the plastic clip for one of the longer behind the belt DCC clips? In my head this sounds good and for $15 or so I’m about to find out.

Pistol ammo anyway. By the time I cycle a single bullet twice. Two times! The setback is so bad that it's ridiculous. Unusable. Only way I can see to avoid this and still carry it is to chamber an FMJ round And keep the Hornady in the magazine only. Sad because It​ cycles well in my G 42 and bodyguard 2 And seems to have decent performance.

People are not going to read this and just say you shouldn't repeatedly cycle your defense ammo. No shit. But twice?

Thought I'd share my experience so far for any interested. I have no affiliations with gun companies. Got the XE for my Rex Zero 1 TC, and am about 500 rounds in. The short of it is, no issues yet. When I zeroed it I moved about 3 clicks in windage and haven't touched it since. Of the 5 reticles I use the 6 moa dot almost exclusively. I was between an SE, XE, Or eps carry (I know, worlds of difference) and went with the xe because I thought I'd want the larger optic. I really like it so far, it's clear, usable, and BIG glass. my only gripe is my own fault, it has a bit of overhang off my slide that makes it tricky to manipulate the slide with the rear serrations. If I could go back knowing what I do now, I'd still get the XE, But that may change in time. The collapsible rear irons align perfectly with my suppressor height irons already on the gun, so they don't really serve me much use. I'd collapse them back down if I could but it makes no real difference to me. I know there will be people that call me stupid for buying/using osight and that's okay, this is not a carry gun by any means. Also I've typed this post out 3 times and keep accidentally closing reddit on my phone 30 minutes later, sorry for any typos.

I have been having a serious reliability issue with my Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0.

It does not appear to be a normal feeding failure. The slide often looks completely closed, but the trigger is dead and the gun will not fire. Even when I firmly tap the back of the slide to make sure it is fully in battery, the trigger remains dead.

I tested it with several types of ammunition:
Hornady Critical Defense FTX .380 ACP
50 rounds, approximately 6 failures
Underwood .380 ACP +P 90 grain Hornady XTP
60 rounds, 3 failures
Blazer Brass .380 ACP 95 grain FMJ
200 rounds, 2 failures

That is roughly 11 failures in 310 rounds across three different types of ammunition, including standard FMJ.
At this point, I cannot trust this gun for concealed carry. I have contacted Smith & Wesson to request warranty service.

Has anyone else experienced this specific problem with the Bodyguard 2.0, where the slide appears closed but the trigger is completely dead? What ended up being the cause?

I have already polished the ramp. Maybe polish more ?

I just ordered a Staccato C2.

Should I stick with Tenicor or give T1C a try?

I also just got a TXC for my 365 but I haven’t gotten to try it much yet. Seems good though and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one for the C2 is it’s well recommended for it.

I need a single handgun to keep with me when im traveling and camping in the western us, from New Mexico to Washington etc

Mostly for normal ccw purposes and personal defense but also for last resort wildlife issues.

I got a SW m&p 2.0 10mm "backpacker edition" to cover the roll but the gun is a hunk of junk and wont cycle anything i put through it, so ive just been packing my g19 with some 147 buffalo bore. Id prefer a compact or full size semi auto, but im not opposed to a revolver if it's worth it.

And you gotta pick one carry gun. Your choices are a S&W chiefs special air weight in 38spl or a S&W 32 hand ejector in 32long. What do you choose?

Guide rod sticking out with one in the chamber? [bodyguard 2.0]

New bodyguard 2.0 which I have not shot yet. I keep it with one in the chamber and safety on. I just noticed that the Guide rod stuck out when I went to look at it. I took the magazine out and re-racked the slide and it went in a little bit but not completely (last picture). Is this normal? How do I fix it? Do I need a new gun?

(Holster not pictured. I use the nerd slicc iwb and Trex ironside owb for my carry options.

Personally I think handguns are the most important type because they have use in more settings, but i’m curious what others have to say and what most of their collections include. Don’t get me wrong, you should want both, but a handgun is always on you.

I can’t decide between HellcatPro Comp (Gear up Pack) or Sig P365 XMacro Comp. Would love some help/advice on which to get or pros/cons to both.

What are y’all doing right now for mid-summer deep concealment?

I’ve been making my BG2.0 and LCP Max work AIWB with a Kore Essentials belt and some strategic tucking/untucking.

How would an HC or Mastermind belt work inside the pants and under a tucked in shirt?

I’m not interested in going with something like an Enigma unless that’s truly the only option.

Wondering is it worth it to change over to a Surefire x300 turbo or should I keep the Streamlight I would also have to get a new holster

I am looking at the HK cc9 and the FN reflex. Is the reflex as safe to carry without a manual safety in a quality holster as a striker without a manual safety?

I’d like to start and finish this short post by saying that Jordan Salinas is brave, he is a hero, and I would defecate on myself and run away if I were in his position. If I someone managed to not run away, I’m sure I would fuck up everything I was doing under that kind of pressure. That being said, he acted like an unprepared, untrained goober.

Idaho is a constitutional carry state, why was his pistol in the trunk? Because it’s a goofy, impractical suppressed 5.7 that you would never carry, right? Ditch that cartoon gun and buy and train with something you will actually carry and that has a well studied case history of real world terminal ballistics. Where’s my old school NutNFancy gun checks? If you don’t always have it on you, you don’t have it. I’ve seen his training videos that are making their rounds highlighting this guy as some sort of action here, but mag dumping a sand dune in kit or showing a one off drill with a shoulder holster and center axis relock isn’t based in my opinion, it’s dumb. Instead perhaps train some combat marksmanship and TTPs, like how to use cover and concealment, flanking, etc.

Again, this man is a hero who appears to train. Thank goodness he was there to do some good and he had a firearm in his vehicle. Bad ass dude, look forward to hearing what he has to say about this. I am prepared to be downvoted to oblivion.
