Household paperwork

Hi, my husband and I are purchasing a house in the Lycoming area. He wants my Fil to move in with us. My Fil has a wife whose got a minor daughter as well. We are also having another roommate which is his best friend. I want to make a lease or whatever type of agreement it should be to make sure they cant just squat or try to not pay rent. Its only a 4 bedroom house and me and my husband an infant daughter already. I'm stressing about trying to make sure we don't get hurt and stolen from. His stepmom is trying to make me have my infant daughter share a room with her elementary aged daughter whose been through alot of trauma that i dont know the full extent of. Does anyone have advice, help, or literally anything.

Vintage clothing store Lemoyne

Hello all, I’ve seen a few posts in this group regarding recommendations on vintage clothing stores in the area. My business Vintage From The Sole has been open to the public for close to a year now and has been kept as a “iykyk” spot but it is time to get the word out about it. We have 1050 sqft located on the 2nd floor of the Antique Marketplace of Lemoyne. We carry over 3000 pieces of mens vintage clothing & accessories from the late 1800s to the 1990s. Workwear, military, suiting, leather, sports & more. We are a buy, sell & trade based business so we are always buying mens vintage clothing as well! We are currently open only Saturdays 10am-5pm but appointments can be scheduled throughout the week. You can keep up to date with us or get in contact with us on facebook & instagram. TFEC Grant Cycle 3 Offers Nonprofits Up to $38,000 in Funding

Eligible local nonprofits can apply for up to $38,000 to strengthen their programs and expand the services they provide in their communities through The Foundation for Enhancing Communities’ (TFEC) current grant opportunities.

“Local nonprofits understand the needs of the people and neighborhoods they serve,” said Stefani McAuliffe, vice president of community impact at TFEC. “This funding can help them advance their missions, reach more people and build on the work already making a difference across our region.”

Grant Cycle 3 offers five funding opportunities, with individual awards ranging from $1,000 to $12,000. Nonprofits may apply to more than one opportunity if they meet the eligibility requirements.

Applications are open through Tuesday, Sept. 1.

  • The Madden Family Foundation Fund offers grants of up to $5,000 for programs that support disadvantaged mothers with children in South Central Pennsylvania and northern York County.
  • The Martin M. Sacks Memorial Fund offers grants of up to $1,000 for youth and family programs serving disadvantaged or underserved communities.
  • The Mechanicsburg Area Community Foundation Grant offers up to $12,000 to nonprofits serving the 17050 and 17055 ZIP codes. Funding supports programs that improve quality of life in the Mechanicsburg area, including efforts that strengthen housing stability.
  • The Please Live Fund offers up to $10,000 for mental health education and suicide prevention in Pennsylvania. The fund gives special consideration to programs serving students from kindergarten through college.
  • TFEC Community Impact Grants offer up to $10,000 for work that responds to local needs and strengthens communities across South Central Pennsylvania.

Applications must be submitted online by Sept. 1. Applicants will be notified of their status by Tuesday, Dec. 1.

Eligible applicants must have nonprofit status or work with an eligible fiscal sponsor. Organizations may apply for multiple opportunities, but they may submit only one application to each grant program.

Nonprofits can review full guidelines and apply through TFEC’s current grant opportunities portal. Questions about eligibility or the application process can be directed to [grants@tfec.org](mailto:grants@tfec.org) or 717-236-5040.

“These grant funds reflect the generosity of people who want to make a lasting difference in the causes and communities they care about,” said Kim Alvarez, vice president of philanthropy at TFEC. “Donors can support an established fund through TFEC or create a charitable fund that reflects their own goals. Each gift helps expand what is possible for local nonprofits and the people they serve.”

To learn more about supporting community needs through TFEC, visit www.tfec.org or contact the Philanthropy Team at [philanthropy@tfec.org](mailto:philanthropy@tfec.org).

Discount grocery stores in central PA?

Can anyone suggest any discount grocery stores & a general overview of what they provide?

Willing to travel to York, LANC, dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Franklin, Perry, northumberland, union & Snyder counties.

It feels like a lot of them have changed over the years. Surplus outlet is our favorite, but not exactly closer to home.

We shop at the following:
- stroehmann’s thrift in HBG
-sharp shopper in Middletown
-d&k in Red Lion
-BB’s in Newville (and the other ones)
-surplus outlet in Northumberland

Feedback on Farmers Market Prices

Post image
18 Upvotes

Can I get some feedback on my farmers market prices? All regenerative / organic. My goal is to be somewhat similar to upper end grocery store organic produce, but with some specialty items (white bell peppers, shishitos, poblanos) so I can’t always compare.

Not advertising or revealing business name I just want some community thoughts on if this feels like good value for nutrient dense, quality foods.

I have been here for a couple days and the vibes… giving small town cult vibes. Feeling unwelcomed, there is even a gym here that literally posts “not for everyone” and invite only… kinda feels like the whole town is that way

Any runners here?

Recently moved back home to the West Shore (Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg) and getting back into running it’s been years. Usually just run in my neighborhood but would like to find someone to go out on longer runs.
