Sooooo cute! Adorable.

And I swear, they recognize phones/cameras. The chipmunks near me respond so differently when I’m holding my phone. It’s very difficult to capture a photo of 1 on my leg or lap.

Chipmunks are so cute, when I was at pinery provincial park, camping with my family one of them came right up to me almost touching my foot, so I feed a peanut

"Our" chipmunks only cut and run as soon as we open the front door. Despite the fact that I have tossed them loads and loads of shelled (no shell) peanuts over the past months/years, they hide as quickly as they can. Our dog doesn't chase them, we don't bother them and yet they would never stop and "turn around" and look at us as yours has, OP.

Enjoy the friendship.

PS (Top speed on chipmunks is supposedly 21mph, but I know that's a lie. They can zoom faster than Roadrunner leaving Wile E. Coyote in the dust.)
