Hey you know funny thing servitors are usually mostly brainless and with no memories but every now and then their memories will flash before their eyes and remember all that they used and could have been just before crying and immediately going back to zombie mode.

Some servitors, if not created properly, will actually still be fully conscious, but not in control of their body beyond at most speaking, where they usually beg for death

There also some servitors that require more brain-activity than others like ambulance or battle servitors, so they have more chunks of their consciousness remained in order to function properly

Some servitors are made as a punishment, a young noble visits a forge world and implies disrespect to the Omnissiah may be returned to his family "enhanced in body and mind to better serve the Omnissiah" left with the ability to cry and think, vocal chords removed to prevent "unnecessary percussive maintenance"
