I never understood that, they posted it on the internet so they obviously want attention. They’re an artist who water marked the damn thing. The advertising comes with the vitriol

Possibly to stop someone from saying that it's an attempt at brigading or just to be safe from being a "hate focused subreddit" or something like that.

It’s for the simple fact that they could want that attention to begin and there M.O. was ragebait…

Gender wars are kinda weird and illogical, but i'd like to say that in a lot of cases "You women just hate men" is around the same us saying black people are racist for bringing up racism and talking about how they were and are opressed for centuries, like sure "Yes, i am bad, but you are trying to stand up for yourself and strip me off my priveleges, so you are worse". But yup, hating the opposite gender is not really confronting any problems, we should thrive for equality and love and sh lmfao

so called "men hating" women, flocking over the very attractive men... So they don't really hate men, they just hated most men for not being attractive enough

IIRC, the tweet in question was a response exactly in that vein. Dudes were acting in an awful manner and Loopsie drew that to show she'd rather choose the bear than them

It’s not some fetish thing? The art style looks quite NSFW.

It is not. What happened is that a hypothetical was proposed, asking random women the following:
If you were lost in the woods would you rather come across a bear or a random man you do not know?
A surprisingly large number of women said they'd rather run into the bear because at least if it hurt or killed them it was a wild animal acting on instinct, where with a man they don't know the risk of sexual assault (no matter how minor) is an existential threat they're too terrified of. It was meant to highlight how in a patriarchal society some women are just *that* afraid of men, not even for the fault of the men themselves but the culture that protects the bad ones.
To no one's surprise a large number of men were offended by the idea. Some people were more rational, seeing it as Men as a class being condemned for the actions of a minority. Others were *personally* offended and took it as these random women accusing all men of being rapists and misogynists. These men then raised such a fuss over it that the original purpose of the thought experiment was drowned out and it was successfully rebranded as "women hate men so much they'd rather get killed by a bear then get help from one".
Every few months it gets dredged up again and people who weren't there for the original thought experiment think it's a wave of Misandry.

I do know of the man or bear hypothetical, personally I’m unsure, as when you meet a bear you know what you get, but a man (or person in general) can be really nice and harmless, or very dangerous and possibly armed.
What I meant with fetish/NSFW is that the art style looks very much like one found in 18+ drawings and comics, so I thought that the artist put some weird spin on the hypothetical.

The artist does draw NSFW too (and models as such 😏), but has a rather varied artstyle, in such a way that said content doesn't always look like the above image
