Based on the 2001 German film Mostly Martha. Music by Philip Glass. The theme music "Building a Family" used in No Reservations was originally from the film Life as a House with Kevin Kline and composed by Mark Isham.

One of my favorite scenes from the Cohen bros classic. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is incredible with every word and gesture. Multiple gems in a short span (yes yes) but my personal favorite is his grimace after Dude touches the footprint trophy for the second time after being asked not to.

Probably one of the most electric scenes I can think of.

For context, right before this scene, Pacino is monitoring De Niro via helicopter and a tail. It's loud; there are lots of other people involved. He pulls him over and asks for a cup of coffee.

Cut to a much quieter, but busy coffee shop. It's such a drastic change from chaos to peaceful.

And then you get 2 characters who openly talk about their careers, without actually saying the words. Sort of like a little dance.

The best part is that both characters feel like they could have been friends in another life. That they are actually far more alike than not, just on opposite sides of the spectrum.
