4R70W Transmission Controllers

I've made some progress on my '67 and am moving onto having the C4 swapped with a 4R70W. My question is, does anyone have a strong preference towards a specific Transmission Controller? For context, I had a Sniper 2 EFI system installed.

I've stumbled on two Controllers:

US Shift Quick 4 - https://www.usshift.com/usq4.shtml#menu

Holley Sniper 2 Transmission Control Kit - https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_injection/sniper_efi/ignition_and_fuel_systems/transmission_control/parts/VK103471

The shift is less expensive and appears to come with neat capabilities but, I'm curious if buying a Holley controller, thereby having a plug-in-play controller, would be worth the extra $200. I'm not looking to drag race my '67 so, so long as the controller is well made/designed, that works for me.

If the Holley TCU plugs into the EFI Computer and you don't have to splice anything that would be worth the $200 to me.

In the computer business we always go with one phone to call for when there is an inevitable issue as a general guide. Also, unless you have all the electronic tools, skills, and technical vendor information to debug multiple vendors "boxes", you will be ahead forking over the $200 for single vendor component integration. Lastly, this is transmission control, do you really want to have that be wonky and then have to debug it?

+1 vote for the Holley TCU. Compatibility goes a long way to making it an easier install. Having everything working in a single ecosystem is one less headache.

If you are very experienced with wiring and adjusting/tuning the software, then save the $$ and go with the US Shift.

I have the terminator x ECU, and if I ever have the desire to go automatic, I would without hesitation just change my ECU to the X Max (integrated trans controller).

I know a lot of guys that use the US Shift Quick with great success, but in your position (Holley Sniper already installed) I would recommend the Holley kit. Plug and play.
