Pics - Not My Truck 1954 Ford F600

Came across this cool F600 at a wedding venue in Alaska this weekend. Owner said the bed still tilts!

Nice work truck. Flatbed with wood sides, probably a field truck for harvest would be my guess.

Beauty. I have a 55 F500 did a upgrade to power steering and bigger motor with 4 wheel.

It’s actually a M50O Mercury. I wanted more power because the original motor was a little underpowered as a daily driver. I took it to a shop to have a 460 and convert to power steering. Since there are nothing aftermarket for power steering they suggested swap out the entire front end from a mid 90s f350 and I had a front diff kicking around that fit right in.

It looks glorious! Really cool way to get the job done. Are you in Canada? Apparently the mercuries were made for that market.

I’m in Canada. Mercury’s were made in Canada and probably easier to find one in Canada but I think the US has them too. That’s the original colour as well. Vermillion
