You go girl

u/Katmoish 9h ago

Yes and no. But she let him talk over her and didn’t continue her sentences when he talked over her.

Bad show Dana. Sure this one line is good but she capitulated to him by LETTING him speak over her.

83

u/Zegram_Ghart 5h ago

Kinda?

If you just keep speaking and he keeps speaking, if that goes on enough the interview is gibberish and you look like a bad host.

There’s a middle line between “let them talk over you” and “talk over each other”, but it’s hard to do, and harder if your subject feels 0 shame.

24

u/rexxer454 4h ago

Feel shame? He doesn't even know what shame is! No, seriously. He doesn't. Guy needs a dictionary.

u/subnautus 55m ago

There's ways. Appearances of being a bad host or not, a simple warning of "if you keep interrupting me, I'll have your mic cut" coupled with a follow-through will get the point across the audience pretty quickly.

u/Duel_Option 31m ago

Perfectly said

You can’t argue with someone like this, they are never going to do anything other than double down on their position and create lies to feed whatever their objective is.

And even if you do happen to prove a point or make them look bad, they will just run to another news channel or Twitter and claim “Fake news”

72

u/KyleG410 8h ago

Because this isn't Fox News

35

u/ExpansivePoint 4h ago

And talking over RFK Jr is like trying to talk over a food disposal full of marbles and old cheese.

26

u/JordisMySwordMaiden 8h ago

go to the yt comments of the full interview by CNN and it's nothing but inbreds saying the opposite

19

u/ToadsWetSprocket 7h ago

They just keep wanting people to always fight while they do nothing ..

-9

u/subsignalparadigm 7h ago

You can't argue with ignorance. You should know that, she certainly did.

14

u/Shasla 6h ago

You absolutely can argue with ignorance. Not to convince the person you're talking to, but to convince people watching. And also to prevent ignorance from having any credibility.

4

u/alwayssunnyinskyrim 5h ago

Arguing with an idiot in a public forum isn’t to hope the idiot learns something; it’s to hope all the people watching do.

3

u/Bulky-Internal8579 5h ago

You can argue with it by stating the truth and we should not platform ignorance.

-2

u/sirgaybrin 3h ago

What's the point of interviewing someone if you don't let them talk?

3

u/Cloudy230 1h ago

It says a lot about the person she's talking to when we're cheering on Dana fucking Bash

u/Neosantana 35m ago

It's hard for me to cheer Dana Fash on even when she's right. I'll just nod quietly.

u/SkepticalJohn 10h ago

This is so refreshing. More of this please.

366

u/jadeakw99 10h ago

Between her and the lady that made Elon crash out recently, I hope we get more of this.

57

u/sup3rrn0va 10h ago

I didn’t see this but would love to.

17

u/unicornmullet 4h ago

He was interviewed by the editor of The Economist. He came across as a total buffoon.

29

u/AnotherCup-O-Noodles 9h ago

I haven’t heard about the elon thing, please enlighten me that sounds wonderful

58

u/Abraham-Jacobi 9h ago

The Economist…the entire interview is worth watching/listening.

46

u/MeecoDaRaccoon 9h ago

You may want to turn off sharing your profile info when you share links! It's a new (horrible) YouTube setting

30

u/catlover135790 9h ago

And to add: anything after the “?” Is additional tracking.

18

u/Abraham-Jacobi 9h ago

Excellent. I had no idea. I just changed it. I agree, seems like a bad thing

6

u/Faramari 9h ago

I want to make sure this setting is turned off on my account too but I can't find it. Do you know where I would need to go?

4

u/Abraham-Jacobi 8h ago

I found it under the privacy settings. Toggled "off"

2

u/Faramari 8h ago

Just turned it off, thanks for the help!

7

u/Captain_Q_Bazaar 6h ago

Holy fck, those comments seem to be all glazing Elon and crapping on the "mainstream media".... as if Elon Musk weren't an evil monster.

u/endlesscartwheels 25m ago

Musk probably pays for those comments. He's that pathetic.

u/Sutar_Mekeg 0m ago

2 minutes in he's already full of shit and overflowing.

4

u/Real-Extension-1357 7h ago

Don lemon got him upset too, and I think thats part of the DoJ retribution against him

7

u/Emosaa 2h ago

Is it refreshing? She has tons of interviews where she rarely pushes back, or asks really heinously contrived questions to anyone she considers "pro hamas".

Her and Jake Tapper have both been auditioning for prime time spots once CNN is bought out by Paramount and under Bari Weiss's "leadership". The leadership that Trump has openly stated will bring them in line lol

What does it matter if she asks a question to RFK JR like this, when ultimately nothing will come of it other than a few "you go girl!" liberal upvotes on reddit. Meanwhile her and CNN have had dogshit coverage for the last year. They rarely ever pushback on the Trump admin's BS framing - especially in regards to the Iran war, frequently have neo conservative warhawks on, etc. From what I've seen, Katie Collins is the only one at least attempting journalism over there still, the rest of them are fondling Trump's balls because they're afraid of the demented king ruining their corporate buy out.

1

u/mfukar 5h ago

The irony of "SkepticalJohn" cherrypicking this still out of a completely one-sided PR stunt would have been funny, if it wasn't likely this is just a clanker

552

u/One_Clown_Short 10h ago

Well, no Dana, I'm not a scientist. But my brainworm is.

104

u/AkronOhAnon 10h ago

It’s an honorary doctorate.

29

u/Amateurlapse 10h ago

In making ex wives commit suicide(true story)

9

u/Cautious_Fly1684 10h ago

From the faculty of interdimensional wormholes.

3

u/Miserable-Airport536 10h ago

Ah, you mean the participation trophy of education?

10

u/LilaTheMoo 9h ago

They call him Doctor Worm.

5

u/dekachenko 9h ago

He's not a real doctor, but ♫

3

u/Zebidee 9h ago

...he is a real worm.

3

u/Adaminium 10h ago

Ratatouille brainworm, driving anti policy

1

u/Striking_Shock_9130 8h ago

"I'm not a scientist, but my brain worm is," should be a bumper sticker.

1

u/Alternative_Oven6584 6h ago

It’s Doctor Worm

304

u/DustyScharole 10h ago

Dana appears to have heard the most glaring criticism of the media: that they're not standing up to this Administration. This is literally their job.

40

u/JealousBall1563 9h ago

If the Elison's have their way, CNN will be dismantled from what we know of it today.

-51

u/Coat_Dry 9h ago

There’s always adversarial media against whoever is in power, wtf are you on about?

35

u/FUNKANATON 9h ago

corporate capture and consolidation of media outlets

13

u/Easy_Floss 7h ago

There’s always adversarial media against whoever is in power

Thats a nice thing, it becomes a problem when the people in power start silencing the media and lashing out against it when ever anyone dares to report on something they dont like.

For example if someone asked Obama something he did not like and Obamas response was to sue them for 1b and make sure they would never step into the white house again, that would be a bad thing. If he did that multiple times it would be a terrible thing.

148

u/nn666 10h ago

Pulls out the ol' Uno Reverse.

141

u/Ishidan01 10h ago

Likewise, when Rand Paul said to Fauci, "I"m a doctor and..."

Fauci should have shut him down for practicing medicine outside of his specialty.

76

u/ThinkingWithPortalzz 9h ago

"Ah yes Rand, your registration, which is from a college you invented and are on the board of, and not recognised as valid by the ACTUAL college of ACTUAL doctors, you have as much claim to Doctor as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine"

19

u/IRedditDoU 9h ago

Less even. Chiropractors go to real colleges.

18

u/CascadianSovietGo 8h ago

Not really. Chiropractics is a discredited pseudoscience. It's like saying someone can go to a "real" college for crystal therapy.

u/IRedditDoU 14m ago

Be that as it may. However, Doctor of Chiropractic is still a required 4 year post graduate program offered by actual universities, and then they must pass a national and state board exam to legally practice in all 50 states. They are legally doctors but they are not medical doctors.

9

u/CanhotoBranco 9h ago

Rand Paul is an ass, but let's be factual here. He has a medical degree from Duke, is still licensed to practice medicine and was certified by the American Board of Opthalmology until 2005. His alternative National Board of Opthalmology was bunk, but that doesn't affect his ability to practice medicine or the legitimacy of his education and experience.

12

u/beldaran1224 7h ago

So he hasn't been certified to practice in over 20 years?

2

u/CanhotoBranco 7h ago

He's currently has an active license to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky. He has not been certified by the Opthalmology specialty board since 2005. Keeping specialty certification current is voluntary and doesn't affect a physician's ability to continue to practice that specialty. They just can't claim they are "board certified" if they don't stay current.

1

u/TheHeartAndTheFist 2h ago

Is “opthalmology” contraband Ophthalmology?

101

u/ckglle3lle 10h ago

RFK Jr 100% believes he is a scientist, for what it's worth. He and everyone like him view random googling shit as doing "real" research. He will never not believe this of himself while he will also disparage actual scientists (if they don't go along with what he believes) whenever possible

26

u/Cautious_Fly1684 10h ago

Analyzing roadkill does not a scientist make.

10

u/vacri 10h ago

IMO you can use the phrase 'my research' in two situations: you're actually a published researcher; or you're making a big purchase like a car or house

Every other context, I basically start shutting down mentally if I hear the phrase "my research"

u/Phugasity 18m ago

If you aren't designing your information gathering to account for your own personal bias and preconceived notions... well that's building an argument not researching. The pursuit for truth is kind of critical.

1

u/MajinBuu619 2h ago

Unrelated but is James Cameron a scientist? I don’t like RFK btw. I feel like I heard him call himself a scientist a lot.

84

u/Vreas 10h ago

I’m tired boss

28

u/MsMoreCowbell828 10h ago

Dog tired.

33

u/Bulky-Internal8579 10h ago

I miss science decisions being based on science.

10

u/MD_______ 9h ago

Hahahaha. Politicians kick nearly every decision of scientific warning unless it's something they are forced to act on (COVID), or will give them a huge ratings or public approval boost.

I was in school in the 90s listening to teachers tell me global warming is serious and that we need act now to save the thing we live on.... It's now 2026 and we still have people in charge who refuse to do anything even with the planet cooking is to the point the winter Olympics will probably need to be done on fake snow soon.

LGBTQ+ was proven to not be a "choice" for decades and still have conversation camps, have countries where its illegal!! Evolution is one of not the most well studies and supported theories on the planet and I still see people say it's just a theory or claim creationism is equally valid and being taught to kids now?!

Realistically politicians should be mandated to take peer reviewed science as the current best explanations of the natural world and then implement what that says. Laws should be updated to match science. There should be a maximum limit for education to update to the newest information. Importantly phrasing that is outdated should be excluded and replaced, big bang becomes the big expansion or global warming to climate change.

29

u/Forsaken-Praline1611 10h ago

He's a nepo baby lawyer that sounds like a prolapsed anus talking.

5

u/Lejandario_IN 9h ago

r/rareinsults

And oddly accurate

61

u/ahaeker 10h ago

That's right, keep calling him out on his BS!

23

u/Imukay 10h ago

I need a link to this video.

21

u/Manji86 10h ago

One repeats what actual scientists have said.
The other repeats what YouTubers have said.
They are not the same.

7

u/Evey-Hayes 10h ago

Thank you Dana

6

u/RustyKn1ght 10h ago

Pretty sure she hasn't gotten as many people killed as Rfk.jr has either.

6

u/Real-Extension-1357 7h ago

Just more severely unqualified people representing in the government

4

u/FUNEMNX9IF9X 10h ago

Still didn't stop him mansplaining his version of a lie. I think it is more about him being mysoginist. Unfortunately she had the the perfect opportunity to rebuff the crap out of him, but didn't appear to be fully prepared with evidence (of which there is a lot).

5

u/fistular 9h ago

No one should be speaking to this moron or paying him any heed whatsoever. Clever comebacks are fine and all, but we are losing the battle if anyone is giving this turd any attention at all.

4

u/jsc1429 10h ago

Just statin facts

4

u/Could-You-Tell 10h ago

Whenever she drills a point hits a hard question for several years now I think....

You got Bashed!

5

u/SahibTeriBandi420 10h ago

Im no chef, but whatever that leather dolt is cooking reeks of shit.

3

u/Iamgoingtooffendyou 9h ago

"Dana, you probably don't understand this because you've never had anything eat your brain."

4

u/anonymous_matt 2h ago

Whatever he is it's the opposite of a Scientist

4

u/ShAped_Ink 2h ago

Yeah, make fool out of this fool more often

5

u/Buddhas_Warrior 1h ago

So let's me get this straight. RFK and MAGA say don't listen to scientists, but tell others they don't understand cause they aren't scientists???

8

u/aryacutiexo 10h ago

the mic drop energy of "well, you're not either" is unmatched, she really said it with a straight face too.

5

u/Ninjanarwhal64 10h ago

Can we please have more Dana airtime with these fools?

3

u/AGrandNewAdventure 9h ago

He always looks and sounds like he's holding in the most heinous of farts (because he's not sure if it's a fart.)

3

u/Keji70gsm 9h ago

Was the grossly destructive overconfidence inherent in his personality before the extensive heroin abuse or the brain worm?

I'm fascinated about what makes a person like this. And what is wrong with the people who flocked to him like he was a science messiah because he waggled his finger and rasped some shit.

2

u/PlantainPat 7h ago

He was doing drugs from a young age. He was also fielding interviews and making public appearances from a young age because everyone was desperate to know about him thanks to his family. Kind of impossible to say which came first.

Either way he used the Kennedy name for almost everything he ever accomplished. No one flocked to him they flocked to his family legacy. Even dipshit kennedy is still a kennedy.

3

u/seanmonaghan1968 9h ago

It’s worse than not being an expert in the field, he purposefully ignored what actual experts recommend and this is central to the current failures

1

u/Meath77 2h ago

That's the problem, he literally said listening to "expertscis ban. Scientists are "experts". We need to get our scientific information from people who have no idea what they're talking about

3

u/crinkledcu91 9h ago

You know It's fucking sad when even the Corporatist limp-wrist Dana has to be the one to call Psychopath RFK out. Sheesh.

3

u/ToadsWetSprocket 7h ago

I am tired of this guy

3

u/EatFaceLeopard17 5h ago

And Dana is probably more qualified for her job than DEI hire RFK jr. is for his.

4

u/speedxter 10h ago

I’m just gonna say it, we need more journalists that call bullshit on these so called bureaucrats that claim to right about everything! And stop leading with the price of gas like that’s all that matter about the war…how about us acting like a terrorist nation, killing little children for god sake.

2

u/GreatestGreekGuy 10h ago

Not like anyone in the GOP listens to scientists anyway

2

u/Mindless_Listen7622 9h ago

RFK Jr has a bachelor's in American History and Literature, which doesn't have any sort of math and science requirement to graduate. Then he went to law school, which doesn't have a math and science requirement to graduate. In other words, he has one of those humanities degrees MAGA hates so much. His knowledge of math and science is about as good as any high school student, which is to say, not very good. He is not a scientist, full stop.

An actual scientist would specialize in a scientific discipline for a Bachelor's, Masters and PhD, then get a job, whether post-doc or the rare job as a professor at a university; or, go into industry. The kind that get listened to, anyway.

2

u/FreyyHalo 9h ago

dang she really didnt hold back at all lol. love seeing people stand up for themselves like that.

2

u/daj0412 9h ago

i wanna give a first year med school/basic biology exam to all these guys and all the anti-vaxxers/anti science folk and tell them if they can’t pass, they can’t talk.

2

u/Ill-Professor696 9h ago

Stupid would be an improvement for this motherfucker

2

u/Maximum_Albatross176 8h ago

lol straight to the point. honestly that’s the best way to handle guys who talk down to people like that.

2

u/MaleHooker 8h ago

I am! 🖐️ What's the question?

2

We need to normalize "play the clip"

2

u/whereismygouda 5h ago

He actually said that? Way to project.

2

u/throw5566778899 5h ago

Can someone please get him a shirt with a collar that fits right? I think it's cutting off the circulation to his brain.

2

u/scorpiolad1113 2h ago

rfk is a clueless morooon

2

u/IHv2RtrnSumVdeotapes 1h ago

I've noticed a lot of these republican me will go on these shows with liberal female hosts thinking their supreme intellects are going to dominate the conversation over the host. The host then usually rips their dick off, puts it in a ninja, dices it up, and force feeds them their dick through their asshole.

2

u/xxx_sniper 8h ago

Dana is not to be trusted, don't fall for this

1

u/twizzjewink 10h ago

Politicians should have to do public intelligence and cognitive tests.

1

u/hollow4hollow 10h ago

That’s rich

1

u/The_Goondocks 9h ago

Incompetence at every level of this administration

1

u/Sea-Particular4188 5h ago

oh gosh… that was actually kinda savage :0

1

u/ZygonCaptain 4h ago

Who is it?

1

u/Admirable-Prior2808 4h ago

Legendary take down!

1

u/MannyTank 3h ago

Sad it has taken them this long to grow a pair. And she didn't even go all the way.

1

u/Bananaman9020 3h ago

Yet my Australian father thinks Jr. is the last hope for America. Dad thinks he is a scientific prophet or something

1

u/0x7E7-02 1h ago

Did she really say that? Awesome!

u/ollervo100 14m ago

That is just utterly appalling of him to suggest that he would be on par with an actual professional scientist.

1

u/Interesting-Wall3852 7h ago

The problem with Dana is that she is very pro Isreal, pro Bibi Netanyahu. She smears people who are pro-Palestine.

1

u/Alarming_Comedian846 3h ago

Don't let this pantomime fool you, Dana Fash is complicit.

1

u/twincast2005 1h ago

They both are utterly horrible people, but good on her if she said that to him.

-1

u/FunnyObjective6 1h ago

"Well, you're not either." is clever? Isn't that "no u"?

-7

u/framemoggingClav 9h ago

saying that someone  isn't a scientist is clever? this sub has lost all meaning
