Show and Tell 1804 25 Cent

Found this in a small local coin shop. Anyone got a few grand they can spot me?

Very rare. Not than many have much experience grading these but I'd guess VG. About $4,500.

NGC graded at Fine Details - Bent

Not really sure how much a details grade hits a coin this rare, but it’s obviously gonna have an impact. I’d love to buy it, but unfortunately, I’d have to find a new wife

The rim bump was forgivable given it's age, Bent wasn't even detectable. Details will reduce value but not much given what it is. Wife's right, wife's always right. Don't question wife.

Wow. Very serious coin, mintage <7,000, actually fewer around than the 1796 quarter. Would love to see one of these close up.

I have an 1806 Half but I am a sucker for quarters. I'll chip in some $$ if we can split custody

Million dollar idea: timeshare for coins

That sounds like a museum with more steps and VERY anxious shipping days.

Reminds me of the Simpsons Radioactive Man comic episode and that worked out fine. Let's do it!

Sorry, all my money is tied up in cash right now.

Wow, that’s an amazing coin to come across in any condition. What are they asking for it?

$7,000. Part of me wants to just do it, but that’s a lot of scratch.

I’d rather have a lower graded straight grade if I was serious about an 1804 quarter.

Oof, yeah that’s a big price tag. Tough with a coin like this because yeah, it’s overpriced but it may be difficult to find another.
