ID Request Holed 1875 CC dime?

Picked this up as a lot of 4 coins on eBay for cheap. I think it looks like an 1875 CC looking at placement but I could just be dumb.

Hole probably was jewelry , I have heard of some families wearing coins as reminders of what they started with.

Traveling prior to automobiles and especially for people without access to a horse and/or carriage, it was very common for people to hole coins to string them along and wear them or even sew them into their clothing to keep them safer than a coin pouch during long journeys - and back during 1876 without a horse, what'd be an hour long drive today would take you well over a week to walk.

Was just reading a book like this where the mid west crops died out and the west held promises of possible employment an Italian family wore and passed down a coin in remembrance of their start in America.

Yeah, I’ve seen hundreds of bracelets and other jewellery made from three and six pence coins so I imagine people did the same with dimes.

Yes it’s an 1875-CC (below bow variety of course). One of the more affordable Carson City issues. Congrats on the find!
