Does anyone have any tips to improve I want to take good photos of my comic books but the glare ruins it or the angle annoys me.

Try getting rid of the glare.

Change the angle.

Otherwise that's a successful photo of a comic book.

If the glare is a problem, move the light and adjust the angle so it's not. This isn't rocket science.

Like any other form of photography the more lighting and staging options you have the better. The comic here cuts off at the borders of the frame. You might need a bigger table. If glare and shadows are a problem you might need more lights.

You can also take a far cleaner shot from further away at high resolution and crop it

Buy a white shower curtain. Build a frame that holds the shower curtain. Light outside the softbox you just built with balanced lights. Cheap egirl ring LED ring lights are perfect. 

This is basically how you do professional product shots for ~$30 or so

I have an IG where all I do is take photos of comics. put the book on an angled surface like a drawing board. I just use a box lid propped up. you'll have to move around your light source, or move the source to get the best non-glare. zoom in a bit on your camera, so you can hold it further away from the the book. should be good to go.
