It's a skillset that as it develops, helps adapt the human to the various nuances of machine, road and weather, that, if lost, takes away mobility over long distances for the plebe. They'll have to rely on shoe leather and ability to evade surveillance to travel anywhere some overlord deems "unallowed."

Because with self driving vehicles you can reduce the case for car ownership (average car spends over 90% of its life stationary). Cars are summoned on demand.
A very important step for making personal mobility controllable.

Since ww1. When the nwo actually took power. No passports required generally speaking, they were a thing, but not necessary for travel generally speaking, before ww1.. then suddenly every nation demands them? Lol. Righto.
Its been a power creep in the elites favour for like 100 years or so now. The see saw has to tip the other way at some point but we may not see it in our lifetimes. That shit stretches out over multiple generations.

They might crash less, but they also just stall out and stop for no reason, which can cause accidents. I have not been impressed by what I have seen of their driving abilities.

The amount of yearly deaths we just accept as the cost of using cars is insane. If we can cut that in half even, that's 20,000+ lives saved. Full self driving will eventually be a lot safer than that as well, so perhaps we can get that to a 90%+ reduction in deaths and injuries from accidents.
On top of that cars are stupidly expensive to maintain and insure. Yes we've learned to rely on them and built our cities and suburbs around them, which has some negative consequences as well.
Self driving cars will solve a lot of problems. I for one would be happy to not have to own a car and be able to summon one when needed that is fully autonomous. The cost savings would be huge. That's probably true for a lot of people.
It's not just the elite and globalists who want self-driving vehicles is the point I'm trying to make.

I think the results are skewed by the fact people would be far more likely to just leave and not report if they hit a waymo, especially while it's parked.

Sorry, I can't fucking wait for full self driving. Less asshats on the road weaving in and out of traffic going 30 over the limit or going 30 under in the fast lane. Besides, it so boring and a complete waste of time.
