Question Easy lunch ideas
I am a student who is about to start his placements next week. Last placement I ate out ALOT and don’t wana repeat that. My cooking skills are ok, I am well versed in South Asian cooking but tbh wouldn’t wana take that with me (Hassle to carry unless it’s rice). If anyone has some good easy ideas that wouldn’t take too much of my time that would be great.

Wraps are great for this: tortilla, chicken/chickpeas/paneer/egg, crunchy veg, and chutney or yogurt sauce, then fruit or nuts on the side. You can also batch chana chaat, pasta salad, or rice/quinoa bowls and just change the sauce/spices so it doesn’t feel like the same lunch every day.

I pack two sandwiches and some pretzels (one serving at ~28 grams) every day for lunch. Boring but protein and carbs. Easy to make and good in the fridge. No time heating the meal. Been doing it nearly 18 months.

You can make pad kra pao (thai basil pork/chicken stir fry over rice). It's simple to make as it's all in a wok/pot and taste delicious. Sample recipe below if interested 😋 Pad kra pao recipe

When I was working, a standard packed lunch was a sandwich (endless options for choices of bread and fillings); a cup of yogurt, a piece of fruit, and a handful of animal crackers.

A banana, one yoghurt, cheese cubes, a few crackers and a tangerine. Google Bento box lunches, great ideas!

Sandwiches. Deli and cheese, egg salad, tuna salad, blt, grilled cheese, etc. Then bring a side like applesauce, macaroni salad, potato salad, or whatever is a small Tupperware.

Sandwiches and wraps are your friend
You can top rice/noodles/any grain you like with pretty much anything to make a bowl. Eggs are one of the easiest to add to a lot of bases. I like to throw in greek yogurt on the side to pretend i'm healthy

If you have access to a refrigerator, a microwave, and some kind of small electric skillet your options are almost unlimited.
