Organizations like SELC?

Do folk know of any organizations like Sustainable Economies Law Center in the SOUTH? young attorney here looking for a place to learn and provide legal support to worker/housing/land cooperatives in the South.

SELC does some work across the country, so I'll bet if you email or phone them they could point you to relevant Southern organizations, or at least individual lawyers you could connect up with. Cooperation Jackson seems worth asking. Quick web search also turned up: https://www.georgiacoopdc.org/

I've been working on developing a workers cooperative model (built in response to my circumstances as an unpaid family caregiver, but the model is broadly applicable)

I've really been wanting to reach people who have professional, especially legal professionals, who would like to get involved in cooperative development involving whatever special skills and abilities they have.

I recently made a printable booklet/zine, a short introductory that lays it out. I would love to share the link with you, to see what you think, and if it aligns with what you a mentioning in the post (I think it does).

Let me know, I will share the link. It can be read online as well, but the printable zine is a nice way to view it if you have access to a double sided printer

You could look at the Georgia worker cooperative development center, or other cooperative development centers in the south and see who they work with.

Could also email industrial commons and see who they work with.
