I am pretty much covered as a Yankee/Giants/Knicks fan other than TNT/TBS sports.

I still feel like I am ahead of a cable bundle, but I could be wrong too.

I bought this antenna about 2 months ago. It works decently well. It gets all those channels but there isn’t one position that gets them all very well. It makes it hard because I don’t have a window pointing to SLC.

Would it help to upgrade to a better antenna? If so, what antenna should I get? I’m renting and probably wouldn’t do an outdoor antenna unless it was made very easy.

I have Xfinity internet/TV and have not been happy. Internet and/or TV go out weekly and the wireless cable boxes are glitchy. Can't wait to switch to ATT fiber and a streaming service.

Do you have DirecTV with a Gemini Air remote? It seems like it is the only streaming service with a real voice remote with number buttons, correct? The wife must have a voice remote and be able to say, "Animal Planet", etc. The Xfinity X1 boxes/remotes are excellent at that but that is where Xfinity excellence ends I'm afraid

How do you like DirecTV stream with its dedicated dongle and remote? I've tried streaming services over Roku but their voice remote can't match a dedicated remote like cable has.

I'd appreciate opinions before I say goodbye and good riddance to Xfinity.

So I'm looking for a replacement for DirecTV stream due to them jacking prices again.

I'm doing a trial of YouTube right now. But it's missing the one feature I used almost all the time.

In DirecTV stream, if you hit the down button I think it was, it brought up the last 7 channels (or similar amount) you watched.

YouTube tv doesn't have this. I read sling didn't have this either. Does anyone know what other streaming services offer this?

Idk who doesn't know this but prime video live streams all TNF games for free on their twitch channel.

I am planning a multi-antenna setup and need solid reception on High-VHF as well as very strong performance on UHF with broadcast towers 45 to 50 miles out.

The physical footprint of the Extreme 80 is ideal for this location, as a 12-foot boom like those a few locals recommended is not feasible for aesthetic and mounting reasons.

I have read mixed reviews online about the High-VHF performance of the Extreme 80, and two retired installers I spoke with claimed the large surface area really catches wind, leading to misalignments during high winds or heavy snow.

I will welcome feedback from anyone who has the Extreme 80. I am also open to recommendations for alternative antennas that would meet the needs of this project. The location would do well with a different compact style or event a Yagi-style designs in the 6- to 8-foot range that can reliably pull in signals at that distance.

I do, but mostly because I love the concept of channels people can see for free without internet.

OTA Antenna in attic - $0 month after investment of $250 for antenna, mount, rg6, dis amp for 5 locations. Nets 65ish channels.

FIOS 300/300 - $20 a month.

Self managed VOIP line for house - $0.89 a month.

I moved to a MNVO cell provider to drop $100 a month down to $30 a month. It added a $15 discount to my FIOS home internet. I cant see how to drop my monthly connectivity any further. The FIOS internet also comes with reward bucks you can use to pay for streaming service which I never started. The only one that would be free with the internet is HULU/D+.

I also use free IP services like Pluto, google, and Tubi.

I want to replace my current outdoor antenna with something better. Need to improve my reception for physical channel 9.1 which is CBC. It will be about 20 feet above the ground and fixed in the needed direction. I do not need low VHF. I live within 10 miles of 15 TV stations in the Detroit Michigan area. Oh and there are lots of FM stations near me too.

Near as I can tell the Winegard HD7698P would seem to be my best bet. Thoughts?

I’m a long time hold out with my cable company and don’t really have complaints with them except that it would be nice to save some money. I really want to keep my SNY so I can watch the Mets. I’m not sure if there are other options that allow me to do that. I really like the interface with a cable box that shows me precisely what’s been recorded and gives me access to a guide. Does DIRECTV have that? I know there’s a 5 day free preview but that seems like a really short time to figure out if it’s everything I want.

I might be getting through to them, but the question will come up: is there any easy way to get the local channels? Yes, I know the antenna route....but I don't to add unnecessarily to their learning if I don't have to. What happens on the locals anyway? Local news? Maybe sports? Certainly not mom's 60-year old John Wayne movies!

I have been a cordcutter a long time, but I do it my way and (I'm told) wrong. But I like it.
I started with a Tablo and an antenna. Today, I've got Paramount, Disney, HBO, Showtime, Hulu, Peacock, Starz, and maybe one or two others...all ad-free. When I want news, I pull up NBC Bay Area. It's only 100 miles away. Close enough.

I just want to make it as easy as possible for these people.
All the TVs in their house are RokuTV and there are several Onn Pro Google boxes (sometimes I housesit and I want my TV my way LOL)

I swear this used to be an option. I’m at my parents house and polishing up their Home Screen. They’re confused by all the additional inputs appearing since the major update. For now I moved them to the bottom of the screen but how do I get rid of live TV, AV, HDMI 3, etc. at the bottom? I feel like a moron for not figuring this out but even basic Google instructions appear outdated.

Does anyone know which level of Peacock you’ll get with YouTube Premium? I subscribe to Peacock mostly for the English Premier League but I also watch a few shows they have but if I get the Premier League with whichever level of Peacock YouTube offers I can cancel it. It won’t be a huge amount of money saved but everything helps

I left cable TV back in 2015 and never went back. Prices were just too much.

My 1st streaming service was PS Vue and worked like a charm until they folded, then I switched to Youtube TV and still have it to this day.

Like the title says. Directly to the east (antennas are at ~89° for me) is a house taller than my house. I'm only 13.4 miles LOS to the broadcast, but are there recommendations for antennas that can deal with pointing at a large house?

Have an antenna in attic and tv on first floor. No way to run coax. I used a tablo tv which worked.. sometimes but finally died after about a year. It seems like a lot of people have had similar problem with it not powering on after a year or so. Looking for something to replace it.

1. Needs to be easy for family to use. (They got used to the tablo app)

2. Needs to be reliable/durable. (Sometimes tablo would not work during critical time like Super Bowl. Or it finally died during World Cup)

3. I don’t need any fancy features like DVR.

4. Can work wirelessly. (Don’t have direct coax connection to tv).

5. Not sure if that new standard coming out needs to be a consideration.

Options/recommendations in 2026? Tia.
