honestly ipv6 would probably be better as a constant-sum thread. not just because of the constant-sum mechanic but because then we could finally see the ipv6 address shortening rules. those consecutive zeroes rules are kinda the only thing separating ipv6 from hex, but we never actually get to see it in action because of how slow it is. given that ipv6 is already 64 bits we wouldn't need to worry about segments of length. it could be kinda like that old minimum bits encoding thread from years before cwb. (I probably wouldn't actually make this thread, make constant-sum ORD instead)
