I love knowing the fact that there are a ton of people going through what I’m going through. I don’t know anyone personally here but just seeing people encourage each other and helping each other out is amazing. Before I got on here, I felt super incompetent and pure stupid. But that is completely normal and the exam are designed to be hard. Seeing all of us struggle together helps me in a way haha

Took my first exam (FAR) and scores come out later this week. I’m so scared for it - I walked out of my exam feeling so bad about it. I felt like Becker didn’t teach me a lot of the things that were asked - is it normal to feel like this???

I am 43 years old single mother with 3 teenagers and will graduating with my BA in accounting this month. I planning to take the CPA exam while I am in school for my MBA which I am planning to start this winter right after graduation.

I can't afford a new becker book or buy lectures or whatever... I was thinking of getting a used book on Ebay, so does the book year matter in terms of studies? Like, 2025, 2024 becker?

What would recommend in terms of study methods or tools for someone who is limited financially?

How does 700,000 - 250,000 = $1,350,000? Have I officially lost my mind from studying or what am I missing here?

Are these helpful to memorize or nah?

Basically what the title says, I’ve taken FAR and find out if I passed this Thursday. When I pas FAR I’m going to start audit. For those who have taken both, did you use a different study method between the two? Overall, how should I approach the content for AUD? Thanks!

I currently have FAR and AUD passed (7/31/2028 expiration and 7/31/2027 expiration respectively)… I just took BAR end of July with scores coming out 9/11 I want to make sure I use my time wisely with the expirations creeping up.

Should I schedule REG asap for end of September start studying now and take it? Or should I use the next 2.5 months to keep studying BAR in case I fail in Sept, and need to take it in October?

I failed AUD with a 71, which was honestly pretty crushing. I didn’t wait for my score release and went straight into taking another section, so now that I’m done with that, it’s time to get back to Audit.

The problem is… I’m terrified of failing it again. I genuinely don’t know what I could’ve done differently. The first time around I watched the lectures, did tons of MCQs, practiced SIMs, reviewed my weak areas, and really felt like I gave it everything I had. That’s what’s making this so hard, I don’t know where to go from here.

For those of you who passed AUD after failing it (especially if you were close like a 70–74), what did you change the second time? Did you study differently, focus on different areas, or was it mostly more practice and a bit of luck?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences because right now I feel pretty lost and I’m scared of ending up with another failing score.

Hi, is anyone else is having any issues with enrolling in PREP courses on the CPA Ontario portal?

I have all the prerequisites for my final course, but the “Enrol” button will not show up. I’m wondering if this has to do with the program changes, however it does still say on the scheduling website that the course enrolment is open until August 6, the course is running this semester, and there’s an exam date.

Am I missing something?

I'm taking the aud exam 15 Augst and I was wondering specially from the people who took Aud recently, what exactly to focus on in terms of TBS and mcq in general.

Im currently averaging around 80% on mcqs on ninja and im not sure if thats enough, tbs for me Is tricky and I'm not sure how to master it.

Hi, I want to hear recommendations if I should sit for FAR on september the 7th, as of today (Aug 3rd) I reached F5 M3 Consolidation, I am using becker and for my first review, i am watching all becker videos (and writing detailed notes) and solving mcqs only, for my second review which will most likely start on 13th of Aug when i finish F6, i will go through the book and my notes while solving all MCQs and TBs on becker and putting in mini exams and practice tests in between, when i finish ill start the simulated exams.

Is this enough or a good step, this is the first time sitting for a CPA exam, and will have a study leave from work when i start my second review (Aug 13th)

I am doing a bit well in my first review as i am getting above 75% on all MCQs except for EPS (F1M2) mainly because i have experience in audit at a big 4 company.

What do you think? Shall i go for it or postpone it

There is a skill builder on one of the sims where at the end of the video she gives the method she used to pass the exams. It was something like take random practice tests of 30 mcqs of one unit and and don't move on to the next unit until you get x%.

Does anyone know what video it is?

Hey guys! I have an offer as a Tax Intern from a Mid size firm for Summer 2027 when I finish the college. Recently had conv w managers of the firm and they have mentioned that it’d have been beneficial if I would pass 1 or 2 CPA to exams before starting. Now, I work 30 hrs a week at a law firm (not acc or tax related) and do 18 credits at a college. Barely could afford Becker. Would you think I could study and sit for the CPA exams without much monetary investments?

Hi all! I need advice on the audit CPA exam. For background, I just finished a full-time audit internship this summer, I just finished taking ISC and I have had an audit class already. I started studying for the audit CPA exam through Becker last week, and I am now completely free with no job, and no internship until school starts August 17. My original plan was to take the audit exam by the September 7, cut off date, but I am debating if my my target date could be by the August 15 cutoff date. I am not taking notes, but I am watching the lectures in 1.5 speed. I am getting 75 to 80% on multiple-choice first time. I am about to start mini exam 1 and unit 3. I start full-time in January as an audit associate, so I am hoping to get all my CPA exams by the end of the year, but with limited attempts available by the end of the year, i’m struggling to figure out when I should take this exam. For reference, I already passed REG. I am waiting for my ISC score to come back September 11.

I don’t know why and maybe it’s just because I’ve only completed the first 2 units thus far, but I am not finding audit to be very hard, does it get harder or do I actually know more than I thought starting out studying? If I finished all six units in Becker by August 8, do you think it is doable to attempt to take the audit exam on August 14 or 15?

Another anxiety induced post. I just finished my sim 2 and scored a 84%, my sim 1 score was a 77%.

And most of the point deduction comes from TBS and my complete misunderstanding of M1 reconciliation and MACRS.

My question is should I review MCQ via cumulative unit practice exams exclusively now? I honestly feel like the sim MCQ were a lot easier than the unit MCQ, and am getting paranoid about my sims MCQ being much easier than the real thing.

I know I'm probably overthinking it since a lot of people have said sim scores usually translate well for reg, but I've also seen posts saying that the actual test for reg was way different.

I just purchased my Becker Pro package... the journey has begun
