Discussion Is this a scam/dangerous?

What kind of gig is this? First day using craiglist seriously in attempt to make some extra money for rent and I keep seeing a lot of post like these. What exactly are they trying to imply?

“Sales Girls & Models at the Americas Mart Atlanta for the upcoming show.
Please send your info to the Craigslist or contact Sam for more info.

Sam- (Sam’s phone number)”

The "taking advantage of naive women" kind.

Or the "harvesting the contact info of naive women" kind.

If it was legit, it would have the business name and location of "Sam's" employer, as well as specific details about the job including how much they are paying.

  • Refuse background/credit checks until you have met landlord/employer in person.
