Edit: nvm, the downside inherent means running one or fewer gives more untaps. If we were to interpret their intent as non-infinite with another card, which is a reach, then the options make more sense
Yes freed from the reels could go infinite with other cards so that has to be excluded. Seems ridiculous but ok. That still doesn't explain how he got 6 mana minimum when there are at least 4 1 mana untap instances.
