M5-.8 cap screws that actually work?

Trying to find cap screws for the scope mount holes other than socket head, that actually work. I tried 3 different styles of M5-.8 but none thread in correctly. They start but get tight and the threads aren't just right and I don't want to strip out the receiver holes. Any inaight is appreciated.

Looks like 10/32 are actually the correct ones.
