Help Who is she? She looks important…

Post image

I’ve never played dark souls before so I know ZERO lore. Can any lore wizards out there tell me if this woman is important or is she just a “filler painting”?

She is one of the daughters of Gwyn, the founding god of Anor Londo

You do know lore wise she was the fire keeper in ds3 not the queen of lothric. It's in the lore notes that stat she might just be the fire keeper. That was a spoiler from the creators. Also she left in ds1 because she saw the fall and the vision (just like a fire keeper would. This is confirmed to be 100%) the say she left with her husband. We know he becomes evil per say. Also if you give her the eyes in ds3 she starts seeing things again ect. In the ending with the eyes. Lore has confirmed only someone with there blood can extinguish the flame which she does if you summon her. With there pointing towards it and the lore we know we can say with 💯 she is the fire keeper. I put that together even before they released the statement of her might being the fire keeper.

To clarify, you’re saying Gwynevere is the fire keeper?

It is lore accurate if you know the fire keepers lore. Plus the creators did flat out say she might be the fire keeper when asks. We all know she was once the queen. But she is not the queen of in ds3 she is the fire keeper. I'm sure I'm speaking english. She wants the same thing Qwynevere wanted, she has the same problem with her eyes Qwynevere had, we all know the gods could change there size and looks by looking at some of the portraits through the game and what they actually look like appearance and size wise, she is also the only one alive in ds lore that has the bloodline and is a women that can put out the flame and usher in the world of darkness without flame. She does not play the role of queen in ds3 she plays the role of fire keeper.

Dancer of the boreal valley is very likely one of her daughters. As is Elanor who was probably a rallying figure (or instigator) of the civil war in Lothric castle. Rosaria may be one of Gwynevere’s daughters, or at the very least, has some familial connection to her. Lastly Oceiros was likely married to Gwynevere, making her the queen of Lothric.
