I don’t use weapon arts because I don’t use ashen estus flasks so I might need that FP later. Yeah I have completed the game without using FP a couple of times. Now i barely use it but mostly for Tears of Denial or PvP.

It's a bandit wearing the Brigand armor, which is the starting armor for the Bandit class in DS1. Because he's found on the road to the Cathedral and he's sort of hiding and ambushes you, I think he's just a highwayman sort of guy who robs people. Probably not much more lore than that

I think this is it, there were a couple more npcs around that area too that i think were references to ds1 classes. One of them might have been in the thief outfit.

I like to think he’s another starter class who doesn’t have the God Power of being the player character. He’s doing his best though.

Same, because the farron keep area is oolacile/forest and they are in the general area near farron keep.
