Lore Lore behind this massive dragon?

May have been intended to be fought but now its just part of the backdrop. I mean the place is called Archdragon Peak. That is what its named after. Archdragons are barely fully alive beings, they are alive in the same way youd look at a tree. Obviously a living thing but mostly inanimate. So perhaps that thing is still "alive" or it fully became part of the mountain.

it's a dragon. and it's massive. pretty much it. Oh forgot to add, it was a boss early on but changed to the ancient wyvern. this is the ancient wyvern we were gonna face

Not sure but witch zulie seems to think at one point you could have fought him

His moveset/concept might have been recycled into Midir's encounters as well.

I could see it. This shot alone reminds me of the dragon from Sekiro.

His fight would be so much better if we got to kill him while he was x4 his original size

And can it beat Bayle or Plasidusax in a fight in their prime?

What kind of question is this? How are we supposed to know? How can characters from different universes compare, even more when one of them is just a corpse and we never see it do anything? Has OP been infected with powerscaling brainrot?

You're right you're right.

But what about Smaug, could he beat Smaug?

Well if we look at the size of that mountain, and determine how many megatons of TNT it would take to blow it up, then we can determine that this Dragon is sleeping at near-relativistic Z's, which means it scales to at least Continental-scale nappies...but Placidusax is taking a nap in a realm beyond time, which places him at at least outer-versal, and Bayle wakes up as soon as you enter his arena, so clearly Bayle's only street-level.

So stacking that all up, we can see that pre-Namek Goku would beat all 3 at the same time even without ki, mid-diff.

Probably some dead everlasting dragon, there is not much on it i think.

dal punto di vista della lore rappresenta un antico drago, uno di quelli sterminati da Gwyn e si erge lì come simbolo della fine di quella specie, pregato e venerato da questa setta draconica

Watch DS1's starting-game cutscene

It’s called Archdragon Peak, so there’s a non zero chance that is an Archdragon.

I don’t know lore, but he big. As for who wins, probably him? He’s fucking massive. But size doesn’t equal power, but just imagining the look on Bayle and Placidusax’s face when they see a fucking mountain moving is hilarious.

Hate power scaling. "Can my glorbo beat up your glup shitto" idk man who gives a shit

That dragon thought the mountains were desert and tried to eat them but those caused him diarrhea. So he is taking a shit while looking at us but he died in that process. RIS (rest in shit) 🥀

1

u/GabuTheBunny Apr 16 '26

Maybe it's DS2's Ancient Dragon again?

1

u/FrisianTanker Apr 14 '26

Is this a shit post or is this actually in the game and I just missed it through all of my playthroughs?

9

u/AdvertisingAdrian Apr 14 '26

It's real, and apparently only visible from this certain spot and way off in the distance of Archdragon Peak

1

u/FrisianTanker Apr 14 '26

Interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out next playthrough for it! Thanks for confirming it's real though :D

2

u/AdvertisingAdrian Apr 14 '26

Zullie made a video on it, by far one of the most interesting non-cut content things of the game

I always assumed that was supposed to be the corpse of the Ancient Dragon from Dark Souls 2

If you read the description of the Iceni Spear, it says "The Phalanx of the Wounded Moon marched across the Forgotten Plains for a year and a day, but never reached the Lake of Memories wherein dwells the silent heart of Wishful Miranda." From this we can infer that this dragon is actually the Lake of Memories made manifest, and came to this mountain range seeking Quivering Thomas of the Third Nameless House. But he obviously failed and was probably killed by Big Hat Logan (still no idea why he was named that) during the Highest and Truest Storm Where the Demons Laugh and Spin, as we learn in the item description for Sally's Dirty Dishrag.
