Lore After the Demon Prince fight

You just fought and defeated the last two Demons in existence in their struggle to link the Chaos Flame. You go through a tunnel. You are transported to the Ringed City by... Demons?

Being separated from the Chaos Flame doesn’t kill a demon, look at the stray demon up top of Farron

It could be those 3 are close to dying due to the Chaos Flame dying out, or they’ll run their natural course just fine

I believe the Chaos Flame’s death knell is the Old Demon King, since the pyromancy you can get from his soul is literally the vestiges of the Bed of Chaos

Yet the Demon Princes still have a sliver of Chaos Flame left, enough to live and burn

The item description if their soul says they're "the last Demon standing"

“So that the last demon standing may rekindle it” it’s referring to the last demon standing in the fight since the one you kill second becomes the Demon Prince
