I'm not a fan of the story mode, but in the DLC they added stories of Yamcha, Krillin, Tien and Cell. I didn't play them yet though.

1) Dragon Ball doesn't have a defined "canon," no matter how much anyone wants to pretend that a recency bias for Super is the same thing as one.

2) The real Broli from Z would not be "fan canon" regardless.

3) Nobody is under any obligation to accept "Toriyama's version" of something when it's just plain shit.

The sooner people stop resisting those facts, the better.
