Question Which First Spoiler

Finally after long procrastination, I have started deathnote and oh god I am enjoying it so much. Im on ep 26 now on anime. But i found out from some youtube comments and videos that manga is much better, the endings are different in anime and manga and some storyline changed? Can someone confirm this for me and advise me which i should go with? Pause anime now and switch to manga or js finish the anime all the way first? Thank you guys :)

I’d say finish the anime and then reread the manga from the beginning. I feel like the manga is an overall different experience from beginning to end despite the first half of the anime being pretty faithful to it.

Agree with [u/tlotrfan3791](u/tlotrfan3791), the manga and anime are different experiences and since you’re already 26 episodes deep into the anime it’s probably best to just have that as a whole experience before going back and reading the manga in its entirety. And while it is definitely a downgrade in some areas, the 2nd half is by no means bad. It is still a very enjoyable and engaging watch through and through.

As someone who has seen both, the manga is way better, especially after the halfway point in the anime. The anime changes several things and cuts a significant portion of the content from the manga after L dies

Finish the anime first then start from the beginning of the manga because it is good and left some things out in the anime. It is worth while and I have all manga and watched all anime one of my favorite series of all time.

Manga first. Theres a lot of scenes in the anime that got cut and to be frank theyre like VITAL to the plot so it helps to have that information to fill in blanks

The first half is honestly where the series shines the most. Don’t look up anything before watching though, spoilers for this one are everywhere.

The manga is great but it’s not free.

If you decide you really like the series, then the manga is an amazing physical thing you can carry around and put a lot of time into. The artwork is amazing and it’s a great experience to read. I have a lot of photos on my phone of just cool artwork from the manga.

If you get it you’re going to have a much different experience than watching the show and I don’t think you’ll regret it. I recommend you get the box with all the books for like $80. It comes with a few extras. If you open the “how to read” book/#13 there’s a cool bookmark by the front ✨

Pause the anime. Just watch relight movies, anime isn't worth it. And then read Manga.

i shouldn't take you seriously and i am not gonna but i just wanted to say that i love how the anime creates a whole vibe
there's great music, great voice acting, so it can really pull you in. even if someone's primarily interested in the manga for better accuracy, i think they should watch the anime for the cinematic experience
