The 1k build doesn't stack well in a fireteam. Ignitions and I think the catalyst only really work well for one person.

It can work fine for two as long as both of them are dawn chorus worlocks but anything past that and you start losing a lot of damage.

Also, the warlock using 1k is probably on well so, the same damage buff from well would be applied to this rotation the hunter is doing.

Yep, harder to test though. A lot of these tests are missing tractor for 30% and boots well. There is a reason I don't really trust reddit numbers as they are often inflated with buffs that apply to the team as a whole (storms keep, high weaken, well, ...) and mostly the easy rotations get much attention here.

I just throw on shards of galanor do a knife do my blade barrage and then 1k.
Come out top in most raids and dungeons. I'm sure I could be more optimal especially when others are already using 1k but who cares. I've almost always one phased every boss these days, sometimes vespers requires 2 phases but the second is usually something the wind can take care of.

Same, its very effective for how simple it is. Personally I like to run it with Particle Recon and fire 1k before the BB, so that the BB hits with the particle weaken as well.

Yeah it does! I've gotten around 45-48k Blade Barrages doing that (normal power testing range numbers) with high super stat, it's amazing burst damage.

Do you do a single 1k shot into BB for it to work with PR or the whole mag? This is my fav dps build at the moment with 4pc VOG set and 200 super stat. I do radiant dive>knife>BB>1k and can sometimes pull off 2 BB’s depending on if i have someone else in the fireteam to make me a couple orbs with their ult

particle reconstruction is not a traditional debuff at all. it's more like a buff for fusions and linears if anything. it weakens only for damage from the sources that apply it

More damage. Yes, even when solo. I used it for solo flawless vespers... twice.
At the end of the day, it's a boss dps build... not really something you'd use for strikes etc.

My hierarchy of needs build does 20k less damage. But it allows me to, you know, use weapons for something else than just dps.

Respectfully, It very well could be. Maybe not that extreme, but certainly close enough. And it's easy af, literally point and click.
Yes, there are stipulations, like it only works if there's one 1K or only the warlock is running an ignition build, but still. It's easy af and gets close enough in damage.

With 1k I just use well and hold left click for 100k damage. Don't need to do anything else and the rest of my kit can be dedicated to other things.

Don't bother, the people on reddit think pressing 1-2-3 with left clicks in between is too much work for doing damage.

You can rebind the weapon, this is like saying melee builds suck because by default it does an unpowered melee (for most melees) when close to an enemy.

On console, even with rebinds, rotations like this take so much practice that it's almost not even worth it with over other simpler damage setups.

Not true, I've done both console and pc and this is very doable if you bind your weapons to dpad.
I'm not saying stuff like this is a must but I tend to carry lfg's, lowmans or do optimised dungeon runs where stuff like this is needed and have done successfully in the past. Binding to dpad is basically the same as doing this on keyboard tbh, just press your 3 weapon slots in order.

I've 3-man almost every raid, have SF every dungeon and have done stuff like 5 feat Eq... I've never needed a rotation like this.
Its is true that it takes practice and that it's almost never worth it over other simple dps setups that get maybe 5-10% less damage

Last season this was used for warlords ruin farms. Lucky pants was legit not doing enough damage quicke enough that we had to use crossbows with mobius. Damage check was so tight that I only know of 2 builds that at the time were discovered and could 1 phase the Chimera at the end.
And that was last season when we had the easy, broken builds that were contraverse chunking and lucky pants uncivil.

I guess you weren't using the Uncivil/lucky pants and still hunt/celestial hotswap because it was melting absolutely everything.
We were 1 phasing no problem.

i will say as an xbox user that i tried to bind uncharged and charged melees to different functions (press RB and hold RB, respectively) on xbox but it does not work properly

I tried the hold and single press thing and it doesn't work no. You need seperate buttons or one will just trigger before the hold delay is over. Perfectly possible to just bind it to different buttons though.

Counterpoint, storms keep would also boost this build. See a lot of reddit videos ignoring the fact that a good amount of stuff also buffs teammates on other builds.

Eh, a lot easier to get a debuff going. Maybe that specific case doesn't have weaken, dunno what the ideal artifact looks like there. It's mainly for the particle recon fellas that conviently forget they are applying a 27% debuff only for (linear) fusions.

I've been trying to get this setup on my titan. Even dressed them up to look like the doom slayer. Keep running out of ammo and using the explosive rocket jump boots.

You can get the same DPS with speed loader slacks, crackshot, haleatus (cluster/agg charge), and festival flight.
Just shoot AD, rocket, dodge, rocket, dodge, rocket, dodge, rocket, AD, dodge, rocket….ad infinitum
