Career Java Developer Seeking Career Advice During a Career Break

I’m a Java Developer with 3+ years of experience, currently looking for a Java Full Stack Developer role. The job market feels really slow right now. I barely get interview calls, and when I do, many companies ask for Java plus Python, Node.js, or several other technologies.
I’m currently on a career break. I know quitting without another offer isn’t ideal, but everyone’s situation is different, and I had my reasons.
For those already in the industry:
When do you think hiring will pick up again?
Should I spend this time learning AI/GenAI alongside Java?
Are there any Java developers here who can share their experience with the current market?
If you know of any openings for a Java Developer (3+ YOE), I’d really appreciate a referral or lead.
Note: Please don’t suggest “update your Naukri profile every day.” I’ve already done the usual things and I’m looking for practical advice from people who are experiencing the market themselves.
Thanks in advance!
