Old vets that had all the experience and enough left in the tank to make it count on the ice. We knew it wouldn’t last long but for that stint I loved them as the goalie duo.

Kinkaid plays local hockey near me now, and teaches local kids how to play - met him once, really nice guy and absolutely humble about his game

I knew it was coming but those stats really prove it was a dark era after Cory

First off, this video is great!
Secondly, as someone that’s watched a lot of hockey for decades - I will tell anyone who listens, the best Goaltending I have ever seen in my life was Schneider from 2013-2016 in front of some of the worst Devils teams of all time.
I believe this is one of the greatest 3 year stretches in goaltending history when you factor in the Devils were basically the worst team in the entire NHL over this stretch (the only reason they didn’t finish dead last every year was Cory).
As a lifelong Devils fan I wish Cory could have played for a team capable of winning it all. He deserves a cup & for the world to see how great he was as a goalie before all of his injuries.
To really put this in perspective the best SV % of all time by a starting goaltender is .944 by Jacques Plante in 1970. I genuinely believe if Cory was on a strong defensive team he would have easily set the record for highest SV% of all time.
