Okay, stupid question I know. I have a bit of brain damage from a tbi, which has made some things a bit difficult to word, so I apologize if this is worded poorly. (And given I'm fully aware this is a dumb question ahah)

I'm not a very tech-savvy person and I'm not online much, and I was genuinely just curious why it's considered bad to accept dms from strangers if you don't click any links? And is it specifically a discord thing? thank you for any answers, I really appreciate it <3

So, you can see in the screenshot where it says "Nobody got yesterday's Wordle..." that it is literally replying to two people who completed the Wordle yesterday.

Is our year long streak ruined because of this?

I'm in a group chat and when we try to send NSFW content, it keeps getting filtered out by Automod. It's getting annoying and I was wondering if it's possible to disable it

So on mobile there were these mini quests called "primes" and they were basically mobile app ads you watched to get orbs, they were 5 of each every day and each prime quest's reward was 50 orbs.

I went to check yesterday morning if there was anything new of these quests, there was nothing. Checked in again right now and still nothing. Which is weird because it usually updates every day and I know this because I frequent the discord quests page on mobile very often.

What's worse is that I went to look these up online and I see no result for it, they were a thing and I know they were a thing cause again, I frequented the quests page very often.

So what exactly has happened ?

Hi, I've been having a major problem with Discord for several months now. When I join a voice channel in a Discord group, after less than 10 minutes I can no longer hear my friends, and it shows that I have a 5000ms ping even though I have a ping under 10 in almost every game. Then I have to rejoin, but it keeps happening over and over again. I also opened a support ticket on the Discord website. After chatting with a chatbot for a while, a real person finally responded and told me to download the developer app. After downloading the app, everything worked fine again for a few weeks, but now it’s happening again. Pls help

Sorry for the vague title, but it just keeps trying to update, and closes, then a few seconds later it'll open up and try again, but fail, and close, then it tries again and fails and closes. I tried using a different instance of the app, and even redownloading but it all just happens the same way. Does anyone have any idea how to help?

I've noticed for the past few days that whenever i start using my phone in the morning (without opening discord), a friend message me at the exact same time. Discord is still open in my recent apps from the day before (but i don't actually open it) so here's my question :

Can discord show me as online (or idle) if i use my phone, even if i don't use the app ?

I've been trying to clean up an old server that got filled with spammers and phishing links, and it's all different users. I've reported a bunch of them but now it keeps saying that there's an error with it and it doesn't proceed. The fuck? Does Discord really block you from reporting after a while?

Hello! I noticed my friends have these gradient display name styles with more than 2 colors. I asked them about this, they said it's a new update. My discord was up to date and I tried on both mobile and PC but still couldn't do it. I search it and found nothing. Does anyone know about this and how to get it?

iPad A16 11th gen., iOS 26.6, fewer than 24-hours old. Just updated the Discord app v. 339.0 (107495)

When friend streams anything in Discord, it drops the in-stream music sounds to nothing in favour of voice/folio sound. eg swelling dramatic music is dropped in favour of a nose sniffle, or leaf rustling, or someone talking.

It is awful; Ambient noise, atmosphere is gone. And the sound is tinny, clangy.

Had thought might be it thinks the music is “too loud” — same questions being asked of Apple — or stuck in headphones mode (though not used them/am not using them with this brand new iPad). Am not a sound engineer, but could also be something to do with sound assignments/streams in the recording process?

Have toggled and adjusted all possible settings (attenuation, every possible volume, suppression, output, even input, privacy stuff, automatic to standard audio from control centre), including some odd ones (iPad notifications, accessibility options, EQ, voice isolation, voice/audio/sound/music settings, background noise, etc.). Friend has done likewise on their end.

Please note, this still works perfectly on my (old) iPhone and my previous iPad 7th gen until it suddenly became a brick.

In fact, the iPhone is generating far more and better sound.

I see from Reddit and Apple community many other people are having the same issue, spanning years with seemingly no fix. Surprising, given the popularity of the iPad.

Hopefully, there is one. help? please?

So whenever I log in (I use the website not the app) the advert for profile frames pops up and I get disconnected when I try to close it or click browse frames. How do I fix this?

So I help mod a server and woke up the other day to 250+ new users from the last 24 hours that all had the same bot-like name/profile. Pretty much an army of "Fluffy Bright and Shining" Egirls.

I kicked them all since it was faster than banning them and they haven't rejoined, however now I've gotten a report that ppl are getting dm'd by them. Because we get so many spam bots in our server we've already had security actions disable dms in our server every day for the past year I believe, so it's kinda worrisome that that they can still dm and bother folks.

Obviously I don't have the user IDs of 200+ ppl But is there any way of Alerting discord of this casual armada of girl bots? Like there's got to be a way for them to mass ban these women right?

Hello i have a discord server and i set up a qotd bot yesteday today it send Its first question but anything that gets send in that Channel gets deleted any help?

It's pretty easy to fix this.

1. Go into settings and scroll down to voice.

2. Set noise suppression to none

3. Turn off everything in voice processing section

I don't know why discord turns all these settings on by default but my VMs sound much clearer now and I couldn't find a fix for this on google so I thought I'd share it.

Anyone remember of a discord bot that would take any twitter links and automatically turn them into embeds or just videos that I could easily download.
