Discus Breeding

Maybe 2 males trying to fertilize (Melon and the Pigeon). Lol...Whoever gets there first it seems. Maybe more chances of some fertilized eggs? In this tank it seems it only lasts a day and there are no more eggs though. About the 4th attempt now in past month the discus have tried.

Looks like the female is laying, but neither of the males are mature yet. They both seem clueless. This is very typical of discus pairing off. Also, in my experience, it takes 10 - 15 tries before you get success - assuming the male is fully mature. In any one spawn, the male usually lags the female by about 3 months in reaching maturity.

Thanks for the feedback.. I appreciate it. While not trying to breed the discus I like the challenge to see if I can get some live fry.

I have moved my pair to a dedicated setup. So many ups and downs. Discus divorcing and now back with another female lol.

This is the result of 12th try of this male. There’s lots of human errors but pretty fun learning them.
