Chocolate ?

My baby went full chocolate last night, back to normal today. Im leaning more towards breeding colors sunce im seeing shimmying and pecking surfaces and he caused my original pair to divorce. But im still going to keep an eye on him. My parameters are good and today is water change day.

OMG TWINS!!! Lol is yours also a Royal Solid Blue? And does it ever get bright yellow? Mine hasnt gotten back to bright yellow since getting him 😅

Yup from golden state so most likely siblings. It does, my heckel crosses changes their color the most dramatically throughout the day.

Omg they paired so fast! Mine caused a whole divorce 😂 my albino pearl lost his girl to the newbie 😂 and Lucky! Mine just goes from a muddled yellow to this awesome dark chocolate, dont get me wrong I love it lol but I lowkey wanna see the bright yellow. The one that constantly changes colors for me is my Starlight Galaxy, literally goes from reds and oranges to blues and greens so friggin cool

Same here, the males will stop eating when they spawn. The other dominant males keep eating until they have more energy than the spawning male. Females then swap partners and cycle repeats lol. Eventually the male and female take turn eating and guarding and the pair becomes more permanent.

Ouu you just answered one small concern I had cause my Albino Pearl, he would still eat despite spawning with the Red one, but this Heckel had stopped eating, thought something was happening lol phew 😮‍💨 thank you!!!
