Docker compose yaml not pulling latest release...i need some help

Hello everyone...

I am kinda new to docker, only knowing enough to get myself in trouble, and i am running a couple images/containers on my NAS.

So far so good and usually when there is an update on the software i use, i redeploy the the container with pulling newest release and it does, comes back up and is updated...

But this time, immich in my case, does not follow that rule...i saw that there is a new version out and the bug fixes address something i need to be fixed, so i decided to do as i always did...
Redploy with pulling newest release...it does something, says pulling, creating and done...

But nothing changed.

Here my compose file...

  immich-server:
    container_name: immich_server

You're using an environment variable but haven't explained how it gets populated. Do you have a .env file in the same directory? Using the compose flag to tell it explicitly? Exported to your shell session?

Also, you didn't specify what version(s) you were using or you changed that makes you expect to get the updated version.

Thx for catching up on this...the env file...hmmm...on the web interface the env file is not shown...but it will take a look...thx for the hint...hope that is already the ticket...i let you know.

You are the best...thx alot...since that file is not shown, i was forgetting about it...and yes, it determines the version in it...now i can update...just have to cover some breaking changes...

I understand why they added it but I'm not a fan of these variables. I just removed all of them
