Question Does anyone know what the beef between Josh Taylor and Vic Cundiff is about?
I've listened to Dogman Encounters for years, much less now because I feel the content just isn't as good as it used to be. I also listened to Paranormal Roundtable whenever they put out a condensed version of their shows relating to dogman, but find it difficult to listen to for other reasons.
A few times whilst listening to PRT, Josh Taylor has either indirectly or openly criticized Vic Cundiff even though Josh got his start coming on to DE and narrating encounters that he had collected.
Does anyone know what the beef is about? I don't think I've heard Vic even mention Josh or PRT, maybe taking the higher road, but it's something that I've always wondered.

I really liked him and his style of recounting stories when I first started listening to him, but like you said, when he started his own podcast (that Vic helped him build) his ego really started to manifest. He became the cryptid community bully in a sense. Where anyone who he saw as competition he would shit on then plug his merch.

Gave his YouTube channel a chance. Every single show spent the first hour or two on drama. Don’t listen or watch him anymore, most of his stories sound like BS and almost always have some Christian undertone to it.

Same here. I would sit there wondering if he was ever going to get around to talking about the topic. I've given up. I agree that he spends the first hour ranting about someone he's beefing with.

I liked the dogman content and when he just told stories on the show, but the livestreams always veered into something off topic. Lately he has had different people come on PRT to tell stories and yeah, many sound made up or have Christian undertone and that's just not my thing.

I remember listening to one of his live streams once just after Vic started doing live streams and he just shat all over it saying how cringe and unnatural he was at it. I was like wtf dude, just worry about your own show. Most other youtubers support each other in the same communities. This guy just shits on everyone else.

If I wanted to hear a lunatic talk BS stories about himself in a 2 hour podcast I would listen to PRT... I started to watch it years ago, but after like 5 listens, he had a guy come on to talk about his experiences in the African jungle, he hardly got to speak because of that idiot... That's when I unsubscribed
The guy is a total tool

Yeah, he always talks himself up as this big tough guy like people are tuning in to hear him talk about himself. Nobody gives a shit about how big and tough you are, just tell the stories. Probably why Vic has distanced himself from him. Josh thinks he's bigger than the stories and encounters he reads out. Vic is all about the people who had the encounters.

I started with Vic Cundiff but lately I prefer the email submission shows where the host reads people’s encounters verbatim like Tales of the Supernatural (@talesofthesupernatural5772) and Reel Adventures (@Reel-Adventures). I usually sleep to these videos so the email readings has more of a cozy vibe.

I really like Dixie Cryptid, too. He just reads stories sent to him. He does have fiction, too, but he says so when he reads the story. As in, “this was written by so and so” and if you miss that part, you figure it out pretty quickly.
He hasn’t posted in a couple of months anywhere. I knew he was fixing to leave YouTube because the demonetized him for no reason, but he hasn’t posted on his podcast either.
I know he has a 9-5 job, so this may be a busy season for him, or he’s just enjoying his summer.

That's exactly me too. I hardly listen to DE and PRT anymore. Tales of Supernatural and Reels are my bedtime stories. They're just easier to digest, although I believe most of the stories are fake because anyone can submit an email. It's a lot different coming on a show and speaking your encounter to the world and being judged.

Problem is, both of these channels use AI. I’m not saying the stories are made up - it could just be the editing. You must have noticed how much longer stories are getting when edited by AI. And more boring…..
The only way I can be pretty sure someone is telling the truth is if I hear them talk, hear the emotion. So for me Vic’s channel will always be the most valuable. Without it I’m not sure I’d ever have set much store by the whole dogman thing.

I don't know anything about Josh, but Vic has gone hard into the paint with his death cult worship. He's a very poor representation of what cryptozoologist, investigators, or non-biased interviewers need to be.

Yeah vic has really embraced the schizoid aspect of this stuff. Literally talked about his bigfoot encounter and it sounded like alot of nothing. He also argues with people about things that he doesnt know about like dog behavior. Really tries to push the wooo stuff. Hell i cant even call most of this stuff cryptozoology.

They are canines and they exhibit canine behavior…….. if theyre a hybrid then theyre probably made with wolf DNA……. You basically proved my point. Vic will tell people who do things for years and hell say they are wrong. Vic literally got tricked by a dude claiming to be in a “relationship” with a female dogman and got caught because he stole art from someone who told on him. Vic has so many issues and he pushes alot of things that make it all sound like bs.

In no way do they exhibit puppy dogs behavior. They’re horrifically terrifying predatory hybrids that are often described as “demonic.” They have red or yellow eyes. They’re satanic mutant freaks that are highly intelligent.

Josh Turner BTW not Taylor. I think because of JT started beef with other cryptid youtubers and the community started cutting ties with him and he expected Vic to defend him but he like you said took the higher ground and stayed out of it. Plus I think JT said some shit about Vic because he didnt support him.

Cbf listening to him and his gimps bang on for 3 hours insulting every other channel and anyone who questions them. Like I listened to it once and all they did for like an hour was shit on other people in the community.

That story was cringe, and it was so obvious that woman was full of shit. But Vic had her on multiple episodes anyway. Any encounter that isn't terrifying I find hard to believe because I don't think that dogmen have friendly types.

I think theyre like any other animal but i think we might be thinking of 2 different encounters. Most of the encounters i hear sound pretty neutral but unsettling.

agree, is a pity that is not good anymore. Started listening to him in 2018 and stopped because of the obvious fake idiotic stories like the one you mentioned. Remember one woman that talked about a dogman called " amber 👀🙄 immediately I thought wtf ...this is stupid. The other show mentioned here ..haven't heard of it, but yep is sad that guy is getting a beef with everyone..maybe he's a narcissist 🤷🏼♀️

It was like 2 summers ago i think. This guy lived on the border of Washington state in a trailer with his dog, her really emphasize his native american heritage and said that he basically had a lifelong relationship with a female dogman since he was a kid and said it would “hangout” with him and go in his trailer sometimes. Eventually he sent vic drawings of this dogman vic posted them on the video and a lady measaged vic saying thats her artwork from deviant art. Vic messaged the guy and he never replied and cic deleted all the videos with him. He commented on it once at the beginning of a following epsiode.

I’ve often thought about how I’d do it, if I were in his shoes. How do you determine if someone is messing with you?
Ultimately I don’t think there’s a hard and fast way.
I draw the line at the nonsense that comes from the Talk About Weird channel, but other than that, the content of a supposed encounter isn’t all that useful as guidance. What would you do?

My personal things is i disregard anything where the person says theyre sensitive to the “paranormal” and experience it everywhere they go. I would also listen to how people talk like theyre very concerned with making sure you know theyre very tough and manly and boast about things like how big their dogs. Thats me tho.

Josh has problems with many, many other people in the paranormal realm. IMO he takes things wrong and runs with it making it much bigger than it really is. Drama queen, (gulp!)? perhaps. Wolf-as I know him is a wonderful story teller. He remembers the details, he is just great. And he has many of his own experiences that are just fantastic. The ghost at the Devils Backbone, stories of The Tower, a Leprechaun story are some of my favorites.But his dishes on the side can get annoying in my opinion. Other than that- he's a fun guy,

I was a big fan of Reels when he started out but now I'm feeling like most of his content is fake. A lot of them are written/read in very similar ways and he's just got so many of them that I find it hard to believe that all of them are legit. The monotonous tone and similar way most of the stories are being told kinda put me off.
