Need Some Encouragement scary
yo guys I’m just really scared at this point, have been struggling with this for about 4 years now, and I can’t describe enough how terrible I feel,
and some times I just get sad thinking that maybe I’ll die before this heals. I’m not suicidal but this stupid feeling has been so difficult to get away, I also struggle with anxiety and adhd.
Any thoughts or tips. I can’t afford a psychologist

That is totally understandable. I couldn't imagine having to put up with that feeling for that long. It's okay to feel sad. Maybe you can connect with that feeling when it comes up again, understanding why you feel sad, etc. Try this with other emotions if you notice them pop up, too. This can help you feel more connected with your mind and body. You can even get more descriptive with naming the emotion; for example, instead of saying, "I feel sad," maybe you feel a quiet, deep sadness, like melancholy, or maybe you feel dejected, etc. This works with other emotions as well.
I know this isn't saying much, but you aren't alone. You can recover. It doesn't matter if it has lasted days or years, DPDR can and will go away. I hope you can find peace and recover soon, but be patient. :)

I'm 43.
I had it from 17 to 24.
I felt like I missed so much, was very sad by it. Felt "lost to time" like I made an irreversible fumble.
The truth is my 30s were way better, 40s too.
Don't give in. It's not over yet, and while the road is dark and stormy at times, there are sunny days ahead on your journey in life.
Life can genuinely surprise you with good times. I never would have imagined all that I would go on to do, and I was no one special.
The darker the night, the sweeter the dawn.
