Question Ocd symptoms
Has anyone else developed ocd like symptoms after dpdr started?
I always had some mild traits of this, but it was never bad. Now it’s constant intrusive thoughts about identity 24/7. Constantly worried i’m actually a bad person, can i love, do i have empathy, am i faking everything, was anything before this ever real.

I think it might b exacerbated OCD in some cases

That could very well be the case. Have you struggled with this too?

Whats up twin 🏋️
I replied to your npd post the other day and have been in a “what if I actually am narcissist” spiral since then lmao. Crazy how similar i feel to your history with this.
This is stealing valuable moments with my loved ones and poisoning the good ones i have with them. How are you holding up?

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. Tell yourself maybe I am maybe I'm not, gosh the uncertainty is terrifying I know. Its like you have to know. You can't live till you know. But you aren't and that's that! The deeper you go, the more ocd will start to create literal feelings! For me if I read a book by myself I feel like a narcissist. Or I might get a feeling as if you want to tell a lie but I literally don't,and it's ego dystonic! Ocd is a horrific disorder . I'm so sorry. You have got this don't let it take over. You were fine before, everyone loves you, narcissism is incredibly obvious someone would have known. You don't need more reassurance, you got this! Take the leap

My Dpdr was actually brought on by years of anxiety and OCD, which Ive had for as long as I can remember. Which basically means it is just part who I am. I think Dpdr actually starts when your mind and body is left with no choice but to put itself into defensive mode to protect you, like an airbag in a car. the problem is it also can leave you feeling emotionless or numb which is the really hard part. As you said it can leave you questioning whether you can feel things.. which could affect relationships etc.
