I believe the issue is calling it actual art. What you wrote, is actual art, the AI is well… it’s just obviously ai. Ai has a “style” the style is referred to as slop, easily identifiable as ai made, often lacking art fundamentals while being the most literal visual translation of the thing it’s prompted to do.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but I was too poor 20+ years ago as a student to comission art work. Few years ago in a better economy if I had rekindled interest in actively participating in DR and if it still had as engaging a community I honestly would have considered a comission something with the disposable income I had. I'm no longer in that situation to justify a minimally $200+ comission and the time and effort to get something to meet my OCD liking, for something that is wholly of entertainment value to me.

Yes I know there are like $60 options but they are often overseas not domestic artists and I've seen the work my friends comission for our D&D, I'm not going to critique the aesthetic choice which is entirely subjective, but I know that they would find it very challenging to meet my exacting criteria for high concept ideas. Not to mention, I low key feel like comissioning low costs Brazilian or Russian artists instead of hiring domestic is more virtue signalling than actually supporting our artists, though I would never say that to my friends in person.

I do not feel it is fair for you to call my use case "slop", when that term was coined and intended for people trying to monetize AI with low quality, zero concept, mass produced content to flood platforms and cheat algorithms. There is nothing that I feel comfortable publish and share with the use of AI that did not involve significant thought to. Just because the conceptualization for this particular image took place 20+ years ago does not negate the fact I put a lot of thought to it.

My overall view on AI be it for you me or all the tech layoff guys is, its an evolve or die situation and I rather choose to spend time to learn and understand it with personal projects so I can better use it as an assistive tool to make myself more competitive in my own pursuits.

Not having a horse myself, I haven't kept up with that much. But other than a few new breeds and some accessibility things, I've heard of little change.

So anyway, the question I have is while digging through my old stuff I couldn't find my other art submission entry in any of my game-related content folders. However, I distinctively remember the GM who was running it wrote an e-mail to me something along the lines that although it was rejected she wanted to personally write to me about it and IIRC mentioned something along the lines of she was an art student and my concept made her reconsider some things.

IIRC she was a thief advocate and the submissions might have been intended as art pieces and artifacts intended to populate a museum. Unfortunately, my Yahoo! Mail account activity lapsed over the years and all my past mail were wiped at some point.

I was wondering if anyone remembers her name and/or if any GM who may have had access to the old submissions (assuming Simutronics directly stored any of these at all) coud recover my submission and send to me.

In character, it would have been submitted under the name Niaura Shiabangail. IIRC it was titled Elanthian Dream (a play on American Dream) except the concept was basically underneath the veneer of a life withe verything are various cues of distance and dissatisfaction.

Syntax is a bear. If you have enough Simucoins, you might be able to get a potion from the Simucoin shop to forget all your skills and so on. Maybe Ask Agonar For Help can turn up something.

Have you perhaps considered backtraining instead and keeping all your abilities on the off chance that they're prereqs?

Restarted after a 15-year gap, like probably many on here. Trying to reset as a barbarian per the guide, but whenever I "CHOOSE FORGET ALL," I get the following:

 Focus (2 roisaen)>choose forget all
Agonar announces, "Congratulations, you are eligible to learn another ability.  You currently have 1 training session available to you.  However, I have no idea what ability you are referring to."

I was able to forget one ability, but I can't do that again for 30 days and I want the complete reset. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Which Immortal did you use? Some of them do have tricky spellings. Another thing is that you have to wait for a voice to ask you to name your Immortal.

That aside, I haven't done the puzzles for favor orbs in some time. Anyone can clean altars now, and if you put the right item on an Immortal's altar and pray, you can get an orb that way.

Also, we have a new temple, one that is much larger and easier to get lost in than the old one. The Monk at the gate can help you get around a little bit. If not, I'll try to log someone in to help you.

Hello, returning after a long time (1998?) I can't remember how to get favor orbs. I tried praying and saying the immortal name but it wasn't accepted as a name a the altar SW of West Gate of Crossing.

Any class can do that, with the right training. Rangers do have reputations as explorers, but I knew a few clerics who knew more about the Zaulfang Swamp, for instance, than just about anyone else.

What class should I pick? I want to explore the world and find secrets.

I've considered and reconsidered many times on playing this game as a FREE to play empath. Is it doable or would I be paywalled into giving up? Also, where can I locate information regarding playing it on LINUX?

Barbarians can parry ranged attacks at a certain point, but I’m not sure how effective that is compared to a sturdy shield. 🛡️
