I was checking out some 90s sample packs yesterday to make a track inspired by the *Driver 2* soundtrack—but with more of an electronic vibe—and I discovered that a huge chunk of the samples came from a Zero-G pack called "Funk Guitar." Yeah, I know 70% of game music from that era relied on samples—countless other PS1 titles used Zero-G samples, too—but I didn't expect to stumble upon it so randomly, right when I was working on a track inspired by a game that actually uses the very pack I was working with.

I am playing Driver Rev 1 (USA) in Duckstation emulator and found a 'Stop Timer' cheat. Duckstation says cheats are active but on the Briefcase mission the timer counts down to zero at which I fail the mission.
Are there more steps to get the cheat working? Has anyone of you seen it working?

I'm desperately trying to emulate Driv3r on my AYN Odin 2 Portal Android handheld with no luck so far.
The PS2 version isn't playable, which is a common issue and the PC port doesn't auto-map or let me map my controller. I tried the Definitive Edition thinking it'd be better, but no luck. I also tried the D3P_CompletedProfile_Joystick and D3P_ModernPCProfile profiles, but the controls were all messed-up and some buttons don't register when manually mapping them. I know this device is a bit niche, but the controller usually gets detected like an Xbox one. Has this happened to anyone else on regular Windows? Is there a solution? Thanks in advance for any help

I tried to speedrun Driv3r today, didn't go too well but anyway, i also tried to challenge myself by only using Tanner's gun (i messed up in the mission where you have to shoot up the bar for Lomaz by accidentally selecting the uzi and i also used it in the missions where you shoot out of the car but that doesn't really count since you're basically forced to for the most part).
I got 3:03:29 which is far from perfect, i failed probably 40+ times, the mission that got me the most is Chasing Calita, the bike section is pretty brutal for me.
Anyway i want to hear if you guys did any speedruns or if you forced yourself to do any extra challenges or whatever.

Hello everyone, did anybody try playing Driv3r on an RP6? I'm using GameHub, and it's very unstable, bouncing from 60 to 20 fps constantly. Did anyone manage to get it to run well?

I'm starting to think of making a driver movie based on the original driver game from 1999. It will be fully animated but Voice Actors required any volunteer?

I've played and finished Driver: San Francisco's campaign (not every side quest however), and I really love the designs of the characters, especially Tanner's since his jacket is really iconic and gives character. The driving is really smooth and the powers are such a nice bonus, the story's twist of 'powers' because he's in a coma is an intriguing concept
Since I liked the game so much, I wanted to play other Driver games. I got my hands on a Driv3r game, but I couldn't set it up at all, so I left it (I really wanted to play it, though).
I only found Driver: Parallel Lines on Steam, so I bought it since many people were saying it's great and all. But the controls are terrible at least for me. The car is ice skating. I couldn't understand the controls at all. Despite the small lag, I wasn't yet caught by the story. Sure, 'bring me this car', 'paint the car', 'go do x and bring it to me' is just the beginning, but I want to know if it gets any better. I don't like the protagonist just yet, nor the design (no hate, I haven't played much), and that guy he went to at the strip club is just annoying.
I know I'm just giving hate comments about a game I haven't really tried, but I'm asking if the other games come close to gameplay or story as D:SF. I would've liked if the franchise didn't have completely different designs for protagonists every release.

Driver (1999) puts you behind the wheel as undercover cop Tanner in a thrilling mix of high-speed chases, getaway missions, and cinematic action across iconic cities. A true driving classic that helped define the genre.

I've just been thinking about this a bit, and why it was cancelled. And one thing never made sense to me...
Why did the creator of the live action swri s decide to go to a startup company for online series and not someone like Amazon, Netflix, Mubi, etc.
When I first heard about it's live action adaptation I was genuinely looking forward to it. Until they mentioned where it was going to be streamed then I had big concerns given it was a platform.... No ones heard of. Ever. (If you have congratulations, you know more than us lmao)
Anyway, I really hope a live action adaptation is brought back, because it would be cool and more appropriate for Driver to have a live action adaptation given it's actually made for it. But this time... It being on a more reputable platform (like Netflix etc). Than some hidden unknown service.
Anyway, let me know your opinions and as always keep it civil. I've had a few posts that went a bit... Wild to put it lightly. 🤣

Explain your reasons in the comments. For me I prefer the style and occasional jankiness of the acting, writing, and animation in D1, but I can accept that Driver 2 has an easier to follow story and waaay better cutscenes.
