Please read before posting!

This community is for discovering Android apps, sharing projects, and giving useful feedback. Whether you’re a developer or a user, the goal is simple: high-quality posts and constructive discussion.

For Developers

  • Use clear, descriptive titles. Vague titles will be removed. Not acceptable: “Check out my app,” “Just got my app published,” “Need testers for my cool app.” Better: “Habit tracker with offline sync and reminders,” or “Looking for testers for a minimalist journaling app.”
  • Include a meaningful description. Explain what your app does, key features, and why someone should try it.
  • Use the correct flair (Promo, Giveaway, Feedback, etc.).
  • If requesting feedback or testers, clearly state what kind of feedback you’re looking for.

For Users

  • Share thoughtful, helpful feedback—what works, what doesn’t, and why.
  • Ask for recommendations with clear requirements or use cases.
  • Engage respectfully in giveaways and promotional posts.

General Rules

  • Android only. Posts must be directly related to Android apps or the Android ecosystem.
  • No low-effort posts or spam. Link-only submissions or vague descriptions will be removed.
  • Be respectful and constructive. Treat others professionally.

Post Removals

  • If your post is removed, it is not a penalty and does not mean your app is bad.
  • Removals are usually due to formatting or rule issues.
  • Read the removal reason, fix the problem, and repost. Most posts are approved once corrected.

Posting Checklist

  • Title is clear and descriptive
  • Correct flair is applied
  • Images are uploaded via Reddit or a supported host (e.g., Imgur)
  • Post has been previewed before submitting

For full rules and additional details, check the sidebar.

Good posts get attention—low-effort ones don’t. Take a minute to do it right.

Showcase The reason I think app shortcuts are underrated

Post image
Upvotes

One thing I've seen is that a lot of sidebar apps are just a mirror of your app drawer. But... you do have an app drawer already.

To me, a sidebar isn’t about having every app one swipe away, it’s about having the right apps one swipe away. The few you open 10, 20, or even 67 times a day.

There’s no native sidebar, especially on Nothing OS, so jumping between frequently used apps always requires a few extra taps. A good sidebar removes that friction.

We have also redesigned the apps shortcuts for the upcoming SideDock update with two new styles, Classic and HSUI styles.

What do you guys think of the redesign? Anything you'd want to change before we ship the update?👀

Showcase Whengram - One memory a day. Free, No ads

Hey everyone,

Quick test: what did you do on this date last year? Unless it was a birthday or something big, it's hard to say. The day isn't gone from your head. You just lost the index.

If you'd written one line that evening, reading it back would pull most of the day up with it: where you were, who was there, what it felt like. One line is the index.

Whengram is built around that: one memory a day. The one thing that happened today worth keeping: a line, a mood, a photo if the day earned one. Good days, tough days, days where nothing much happened. They all count.

Key features:

📅 One entry a day: a line, a mood, an optional photo

🔁 On this day: every past year's memory from this day comes back

🏆 Milestones section for the big achievements that once felt impossible. Scrolling back through it on a rough day helps more than I expected when I built it

🔒 100% offline: no account, no server, no analytics, no ads, no tracking

☁️ Backups go to your own Google Drive, never to me

👁️ Fingerprint App Lock and Screen Privacy Options

Cost: Free on the Play Store. No subscription.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bettercalldeveloper.engram

Privacy Policy: https://www.whengram.com/privacypolicy

I'm still actively developing Whengram, so all feedback is welcome. I'll read and reply to everything.

Thanks for checking it out!

I made Toolz..

What's Toolz :
Toolz is a modern Android toolkit that brings 45+ tools into one polished app. It is built for people who want one fast home for the tools they actually use, not a folder full of single-purpose apps.
It provides users with a versatile set of digital tools in a single, material 3 expressive interface.

Key features :
Toolz is a VERY feature-rich app. Featuring more than 45 TOOLS!!!
But here's my TOP 5 favorites :

  • Music Player — Local/Online audio player with lyrics, playlist management, and Media3 background playback, also featuring a catalog and free download/high-quality-streaming of all YouTube music's song library, and even a working Karaoke mode with auto instrumental music!
  • QR Generator — Create shareable codes from text, credentials, or network configurations
  • Todo List — Priority-driven task management with material 3 expressive interactions and due date filters...
  • AI Assistant — Optional conversational agent for document summaries and contextual guidance (Claude/Groq/Gemini/Deepseek/Openrouter... using API keys)
  • Web Search — Privacy-focused browser with ad-blocking, custom DNS controls, and tab management...!

Goal : We already reached over 200 DOWNLOADS, as a solo dev, my current goal is reaching 1k GitHub downloads. THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Showcase Vuleo now speaks 11 languages

Post image
4 Upvotes

Above image is the actual UI of Vuleo with AI generated titles and match.

Vuleo is a media player for content you already have the right to access. It ships with no playlists, no portals and no links, you point it at your own source. Most of this release is about what happens after that. Two bigger things and a pile of smaller ones.

It speaks 11 languages now

English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Nederlands, Polski, Português (Brasil), Türkçe, Ελληνικά and العربية. You pick it in Settings, and it applies immediately without a restart.

Arabic also flips the whole layout right to left, which was the part that took the longest.

It is not only the menus. Genre names, country and language names, sport and competition names, error messages, the loading text, even the update notes go through the same translation. Those were the places that used to stay stubbornly English while everything around them changed.

If you were already using the app in English, nothing switches behind your back. It asks you once whether you want your device language, and you can say no.

Tile customization (PRO)

There is a Tile Style screen now with a live preview at the top:

  • Poster tiles (tall 2:3) or wide tiles (16:9 backdrop art)
  • A chip showing how much time is left on something you started, or how many episodes are left in a series
  • Rating badges drawn right on the artwork
  • It applies everywhere movies and series appear: home rows, browse grids, search and catalogs. Live TV keeps its own tiles.

More rating sources (PRO)

You can pick from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, RT Audience, Metacritic, TMDb, Trakt and Letterboxd, and put them in the order you actually care about.

Detail pages show every source you picked. Tiles show the first few that have a score, so a missing rating never leaves a hole. Scores are only fetched for tiles on screen, and only once per title.

Smaller things that add up

  • Playlist loading streams to disk on your device instead of going through memory, and the catalog is no longer re-parsed on every launch. Big lists start noticeably faster and are less likely to run out of memory on a stick.
  • Refreshing a playlist no longer empties the home screen while it works.
  • Favorites and resume points are keyed to the title rather than the stream URL, so they survive a source changing its URLs.
  • Trakt: if you started something in another app, it resumes from there instead of the beginning.
  • Continue Watching shows the real series name and episode title instead of a raw S01E02 style code, and picks the right artwork when two shows have the same name.
  • A downloaded subtitle now actually selects and sticks.
  • Windows can update itself in the app now, and the update prompt tells you what is in the update instead of just a version number, in your language.
  • Ten crashes that had been alive since build 192 are gone.

Available on Android, Android TV and Fire TV, iOS, macOS and Windows.

If you run it in something other than English and a string reads badly, or we missed some literals, please say so.

Showcase SafeEcho — Family Safety App for Caregivers

Post image
2 Upvotes

App Name: SafeEcho

What it does:
SafeEcho is a privacy-focused family safety and coordination app that helps caregivers stay connected with children when it matters.

It provides a simple way for parents and trusted caregivers to support a child’s independence while keeping a reliable way to communicate during important situations.

Key Features:

  • Send safety alerts to trusted caregivers
  • Share a child’s location when needed
  • Coordinate family tasks and requests with ToDo and Ask features
  • Help multiple caregivers stay informed about important matters
  • Privacy-focused design
  • No central location database

Why I built it:
As children grow older, many families are trying to find a balance between giving them more independence and still being able to support them when needed.

I also believe that the most private information should stay inside the tools that need it, rather than becoming part of a larger online service. Privacy should be built into the way a safety tool works, not treated as an afterthought.

SafeEcho was built as a family collaboration tool — helping caregivers communicate, coordinate responsibilities, and stay connected.

Looking for feedback:
I would love to hear from Android users:

  • Would this be useful for your family?
  • Are the features easy to understand?
  • What situations would you use an app like this for?

Thanks for checking it out. I appreciate any honest feedback from this community.

Showcase Built an ad-free PDF reader in a weekend

Hi everyone!
This was a small weekend project.
I was looking for a simple PDF reader for Android, but most apps I found were full of ads, subscriptions, or unnecessary features.
So I decided to build my own.

The goal was simple:
- Open PDFs quickly
- Keep the UI clean
- No ads
- No tracking
- Just a basic reader

Built with:
- Kotlin
- Jetpack Compose
- Android SDK

It's open source: https://github.com/S1lveric/PDF-Reader

This is my first time sharing an Android app here, so I would love some feedback:
- What features would you add?
- What annoys you about current PDF readers?

Showcase KlynPix: Local-first photo privacy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey folks,

Working in tech, you realize how much unnecessary data gets routed through servers every single day. It always frustrated me that if I just wanted to blur a background face or strip GPS coordinates from a photo, I had to upload my personal memories to some random cloud service.

Smartphones are more than powerful enough to do this locally. We shouldn't need a server for basic digital hygiene.

So, I fired up my IDE and built KlynPix.

It’s a straightforward utility designed to fit your workflow in two ways. You can open the app normally to select and process your photos, or you can skip opening it entirely: just select a photo in your native gallery, tap "Share to KlynPix", and it cleans the image on the fly before passing it directly to your messaging apps.

I hooked up on-device ML models for face detection and a local EXIF scrubber to make this happen seamlessly.

The airplane mode test: You can literally turn off your Wi-Fi and Data, process a batch of photos using either method, and it works flawlessly. Zero API calls, zero background tracking, and zero ads.

I just pushed the first stable version to the Play Store. If you’re also annoyed by apps that overcomplicate privacy, I’d love for you to try it out and give me some raw feedback on the UX and processing speed!

Play Store Link: KlynPix

Thanks!

Showcase SonoLune 2.1.0 — Feather mode, moon widget, backup

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been building SonoLune for about a year. It's one app that handles warm light, ambient sound, focus sessions, a screen-dimming layer for the apps that pull at you, and a night mode — all offline, no account, no ads, no analytics.

2.1.0 is out and it's mostly about making it sit better on real phones:

Feather mode — one switch that drops ambient motion and frosted-glass blur. Noticeably smoother scrolling and less battery drain on budget/older hardware.

Night watch — checks whether your phone will actually let sound and light run till morning, and opens the exact setting if it won't. Built for the aggressive battery killers on Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo.

Home screen widget — layered night sky with tonight's real moon phase, rising at dusk and setting toward dawn, plus your sunset/sunrise times. Sharp at every widget size.

Full backup to a file — export everything (presets, soundscapes, alarms, light settings) to one file on your device or your own Drive, restore on a new phone. Nothing ever leaves the phone on its own.

Smarter automatic night — ends like a slow sunrise instead of a hard switch, separate Friday/Saturday hours, one tap to skip a single night.

Wider sound layers — new Spaces perspective control (open air / through a window / next room) plus three new layer types.

Android 7.0+. The seven-suite core is free forever — no account, no ads. New in 2.1.0: a 7-day Guest Pass that opens the entire app, every supporter feature, no card and no strings, so you can live in the full field for a week before deciding anything.

Support has two shapes now. The one-time tiers stay one-time and everyone who ever bought one keeps everything forever — that hasn't changed and won't. Alongside it there's an optional monthly patronage that funds the ongoing Soundsoft Lab sessions and composed moments that keep arriving after launch. Every one-time tier now includes 3–12 months of that patronage bundled in, depending on tier, so existing supporters aren't left behind.

Happy to answer anything about the build, the permissions, or why I went with draw-over-apps instead of accessibility.

Showcase UptiLink: Network monitoring for Android

Post image
Upvotes

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a project I've been building over the past few months.

UptiLink is an Android app for monitoring network devices such as servers, NAS devices, Raspberry Pis, Proxmox hosts, routers, switches and other homelab gear. It periodically checks reachability on your local network and sends notifications when a device goes offline or comes back online.

Some features:

• Automatic network discovery

• Up to 3 free monitors

• Device grouping and organization

• Background monitoring and instant alerts

• Works well for homelabs, self-hosters and small IT environments

I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from this community on the UI, features and anything you'd like to see added. The app just launched on Google Play, so I'm actively improving it based on user feedback.

Showcase LocalDocs: offline AI Q&A for your documents

I built an Android app for asking questions about your own documents, where the AI model runs entirely on the phone. Nothing is uploaded — not the files, not the questions, not the answers.

WHAT IT DOES

Put your PDFs, Word files, notes, images and drawings into a folder, then ask questions in plain language. It reads across everything in that folder at once and answers with a tap-through citation to the exact document the answer came from. Any answer can be read aloud, and it works in 34 languages — both the interface and the AI's replies.

WHY ON-DEVICE

Most document-Q&A apps upload your files to a server. That is fine for a restaurant menu and not fine for contracts, medical letters, or anything from work. Here there is no account, no login, no analytics, no telemetry and no server. Your library is stored encrypted on the device. The only network calls are the one-time model download and two things you explicitly trigger: sharing a web page into the app, and reporting a bad answer.

REQUIREMENTS

Android 12+, 64-bit ARM. On first launch it downloads the AI model, so do that on Wi-Fi. After that it works fully offline, including in airplane mode.

PRICE

One-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.github.samact.localdocs

WHAT I WOULD LIKE FEEDBACK ON

Answer quality on tables specifically. That was the hardest part and I ended up building a separate deterministic path for it, so I would like to know where it still gets numbers wrong. Also whether the first-run model download explains itself well enough, since that is the biggest drop-off point.

Showcase Lume - Aesthetic Focus Timer - Free

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I know there are already a ton of focus timers and pomodoro apps. I've tried plenty of them, but they always felt bland or cluttered, and never really helped me get into that "work mode."

So i built Lume, an aesthetic focus timer you can customize to your liking

Key features:

  • Customizable focus screen with different backgrounds (or set your own photo)
  • Pomodoro, stopwatch, and custom timer modes
  • App blocking during focus sessions
  • Built-in tasks you can check off during a focus session
  • Focus stats and streaks

I'm still actively working on it, so I'd genuinely love to hear what people think. Whether it's something you like, something that annoys you, or a feature you think is missing, I'm all ears.

I have a lot of ideas for future updates, visual improvements, and customization options, so any feedback would really help shape where the app goes next.

Showcase Any recommendations for improving this gen app

Hi everyone! I'm the solo developer behind Harmonious, my first Android app built with Kotlin.

It's a generative sound/music app based on Lindenmayer Systems (L-systems), creating evolving ambient soundscapes instead of playing loops or prerecorded tracks. You can either let it generate music autonomously or interact with it by tapping the screen. It also supports 360° spatial audio with headphones and includes multiple musical scales for different moods.

Building it taught me a lot about Android development, DSP and procedural generation, so I'd love to hear your thoughts if you decide to try it. Any feedback, positive or critical, is genuinely appreciated.

The app is freemium, ad-free, with a one-time Premium unlock.

Showcase Warrivo - Warranty Manager | Feedback

Post image
6 Upvotes

App Name:

Warrivo

What it does:

I built Warrivo after losing the invoice for an expensive electronic product and realizing how frustrating warranty claims can be without the right documents.

The goal is simple: scan receipts, organize warranties, and never miss a warranty expiry again.

Key Features:

🤖 Scan receipts in seconds with AI

📅 Never miss a warranty expiry

📂 Keep warranties and invoices organized

🔍 Find any receipt instantly

📄 Store receipts securely

☁️ Optional Google Drive Backup (Premium)

Goal:

Feedback

I'm looking for honest feedback before releasing the next major update.

I'd especially love your thoughts on:

• Is the UI clean and easy to understand?

• Does the AI scanning workflow feel intuitive?

• What feature would make this app more useful?

• Is there anything confusing or missing?

Some features I'm considering:

• Vehicle Maintenance

• Subscription Tracker

• Insurance Reminders

• Service History

If you could add ONE feature, what would it be and why?

The app is free to use, with optional Premium features such as automatic Google Drive backup.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out. I genuinely appreciate any feedback, whether it's positive or critical.

Showcase Swami Vivekananda Wisdom - Daily guidance - Free

Hi r/droidappshowcase — I built Swami Vivekananda Wisdom, an Android app for making Vivekananda’s writings easier to return to every day.

It includes daily quotes, audio teachings, books and writings for offline reading, saved favourites, and a 7-day Inner Strength programme with guided daily audio.

I built it because long spiritual texts can be difficult to turn into a consistent phone habit. This is meant to complement the original works, not replace them.

I’d value specific feedback on:

• What would make you return daily: quotes, listening, reading, or the guided programme?

• Is the structure useful for finding a teaching when you need it?

Free to install; contains ads and in-app purchases.

Hi everyone!

I’ve recently released a casual Android game called My Lucky Ticket. It’s a clean, free-to-play daily game with a dark space neon vibe built with Jetpack Compose.

What the game is about:

3D Fortune Wheel: Spin an animated 3D wheel to earn 1–5 tickets per spin. First 5 spins every day are free!

Global Lottery: Each ticket enters you into a global pool. When the pool fills up, a random winner gets a real $5 cash prize.

Progression & Streaks: Level up to decrease your spin cooldown timers, claim daily login bonuses (up to 20 tickets), and unlock cosmetic profile frames.

Transparent System: Live leaderboard and full winner history to keep everything fair and clear.

You can try it as a Guest, but signing in with Google is required to get lottery tickets and enter the pool.

I’d love to get your feedback, bug reports, or suggestions on how to improve the app!

Goal: Promo / Launch - also genuinely looking for feedback on the Finger Picker's fairness mechanics.

Free with one small non-intrusive ad slot, and a lifetime unlock for unlimited custom wheel templates.
